That was wild. Didn't even remember the benches being separated and guys wearing masks on the bench. Such a silly time.

In conference play we are 8th in 3P% but within 1.5% of being 4th.

If Aden was half the shooter we thought he could be this year we'd be right up there. Let's hope we just witnessed the turnaround.

To add to that..

In conference play we have 4 players north of 40% from deep:
Broome 45%
Jaylin 45%
CBM 47%
Denver 40% (on only 3.2 attempts per game, ugh)

After that it's ugly..
From guys shooting more than 1 3PFG per game:
KD 25%
Aden 25%
Tre 31%
Chaney 20%

Hopefully last game was the start of a late season shooting tear for KD like he had last year.

Denver and Chaney are quiet scorers.

They may get more shots up as we head to March.

I’ve been so impressed with Chaney at times. Hoping he keeps getting more and more comfortable and gets a little less foul happy on defense

Chaney had some sort of combo scoop, finger roll finish in traffic that I was impressed with against UGA.

He probably learned to play as a 2 guard. His 3/4 game is probably still evolving.

I think they said he was 6’3 when he showed up at UAH 4 years ago. Definitely trying to figure out how to be 6’8 and in high major ball

The finger roll looked nice but was a weird spot on the floor to take it. I’ve always been of the opinion go up with both hands and lay it in. Most of the time you get the foul and the chance for an and 1.

The Ice Man back in the day used it a lot.

He looks like he’s adding good weight.

Did anyone notice a couple of times last game Aden got a defender on his hip and was able to keep him there. I think he passed the ball both times but that’s an important technique for a PG to have.

Bruce said there’s a possibility that Jaylin plays tomorrow on Cubelic’s show this morning. He didn’t sound confident but didn’t rule it out.

Personally I wouldn’t expect JayWill back until maybe the last game at home against UGa or first game of the SEC tournament. I would expect the UGa game tho

Did they ever reveal what the injury was? It kinda looked like maybe a strained ligament. Definitely don't want to test it out too soon IMO

Not sure if it’s confirmed but I think the consensus is a sprain. Probably MCL

I think first reports were meniscus tear or strain

Yes I know we are in the home stretch of the season but I've been wondering about this. With the news of Edey not returning to Purdue for a fifth year of eligibility due to covid year, what does the board think about the 3 from AU that could play another season? Unless I'm looking at something in error, the candidates are KD, Dylan and Chris.

What's equally interesting to look at is who else was was a freshman on that 20-21 team...Sharife, Justin Powell and JT Thor. That seems like forever ago those guys were playing at Auburn.

I'd be pretty happy if Dylan came back, hopefully Chris doesn't.

KD I'd probably rather see go in order to get more size at the guard spots (but that would depend on us getting a decent transfer). To get minutes for Pettiford, Aden, and Tre one of them is probably going to have to see time at the 2 spot, which doesn't seem to leave a spot for KD.

I am a KD fan but I agree. I don't see a path to major minutes for him next season and I'd like to add a more versatile combo guard in his place.

If you could get a guy who could potentially give you minutes at the 1-3 spots as needed that would be perfect. Like what we thought Chance Westry was going to be or what Samir Doughty actually was.

My opinion (which means nothing).

1. I would love to have the mayor of Jerusalem #44 back.
2. I would love to have KD back.

These two are important “culture” guys that help set a great tone of sacrifice and effort.

3. Chris Moore - a true auburn man who I think should graduate and move on to coaching. I love him too.

That's kinda of where I'm at. The backcourt could get crowded quickly with Tahaad, Aden, Tre & Denver. I'm honestly worried someone might leave of the 3 returners.

Dylan is a bit of a mystery, he's already graduated but if the portal isn't kind at the 5 spot, I could see Bruce asking him to come back.

Just can't see Moore returning under any circumstance.

So if just KD and Moore depart. That would leave 4 spots available for portal players. I obviously have Broome heading to the pros.
