Apparently we had a 5* at the game last night. Crazy how little basketball recruiting news we still get.

Just curious what other peoples thoughts are on this regarding Aden.. I'm sure he cost a LOT of NIL money. That can't be ignored when talking about his struggles this year. If we bring back Tre, Denver, KD and add Pettiford, would it be better for Aden to transfer and us use that NIL money on a starting 4 or 5 next year?

Not saying I would or wouldn't do it, but just asking the question.

I posted about that five star Tuesday. Tipton had the scoop.

Hard to answer when we don’t know what our theoretical “cap” and player NIL costs look like.

That's fair, but its been talked about that our budget isn't very big and that not many big money people donate outside of the Neville's. Its one of the reasons we take so many transfers from lower levels.

I like taking transfers because it allows them to fit into the needs of the team. So you can get a Denver Jones or Baker-Mazzara.

I really hope we play Bama again in the tournament. A lot of that win was our guards getting the message-feed the bigs often. I feel like we can do that in a neutral environment as well.

Letting Aden get away would be a huge mistake IMO. He will be great.

I’m loving that Bama Twitter is still bitching about the refs in a 20 point blowout

Something to watch tomorrow.. UF is 2nd in the country in offensive rebounding percentage. I know Bruce is going to be reminding the team of that over and over and challenging them on it. It has been an issue for us at times.

Limit them on the boards and we win.

Justin Ferguson
@JFergusonAU
Auburn HC Bruce Pearl on PG Aden Holloway: "I can probably count on one hand the number of bad shots that Aden has taken all season... I think it's going in every time he shoots it. That's how great of a shooter he is, and that's how hard he works at it."

This is promising.

Encore season building up

Auburn HC Bruce Pearl: "Alright, 1996... 1996. Steven Pearl was 7. Mike Burgomaster was 2. Chad Prewett was in his second year of coaching high school basketball. Ira Bowman was a player at Penn... Gas was $1.22. That was the last time we beat Florida at Florida."

The action is on the court, not on the sidelines. Should never miss 1 second of live play for crowd gazing, coach gazing or anything the announcers have cross their mind.

In-game interviews are almost always bad but even worse in the second half of a massive game. Do that in the home game against Georgia or Vandy or something if you must, not the Bama revenge game.

Love Charles and most of the guests they bring in but damn why do we have to go 5-6 minutes of every game discussing anything other than the game.

I'm kinda sick of it as well. Seems like he is constantly asked anything just to catch an off-the-wall-take that the media can write about. Such as the stepchild bullshite. Sir Charles gives his opinion on NIL literally everytime he speaks in some college centered platform and he still gets asked about it every time our tigers are in the background. It is redundant by now.

I'm not trying to talk down about the kid, but I can remember games where he has taken 5 bad shots lol. A lot of his shots are bad actually, because they are either so far out or he's drifting.

But Bruce is just talking to talk him up, so I get it.

I think the point is that he sees Aden in practice and when he was scouting/recruiting him and thinks he is such a high level shooter that "if he can see it he can make it." Almost a Steph Curry level green light. Or in our terms a Jared or Bryce Harper level green light.

For guys like that Bruce's only rule is don't shoot them if we don't have any offensive rebounders in position or don't shoot them late in games when we are trying to burn clock.

Meanwhile from our perspective we just see a guy who is shooting sub 30% in conference play with a Steph Curry level green light
