I’ve defended Cal for years to everyone who says he can recruit but can’t coach but he’s refused to adapt his coaching style both with X’s and O’s and roster building and the natives are restless

Really really loved the closing lineup Saturday.
Awesome mix of absolute dogs (CBM, KD, Broome) with 2 very steady handed guys (Tre, Jaylin). I think that could be as good as any closing lineup in the country.. and you can mix in Denver for KD on a bad KD night

It is hard to believe that AU has lost 2 out of the last 3 games to Bama at Neville. Oats has had some recent success at our place..

Well one of those was the COVID year (fanless, no home court advantage) and the other was their best team ever. Oats definitely has them rolling but most years we will take care of them at home.

Oats is probably a top 10 coach in the country and maybe rising. He’s also a huge douchebag. Let’s get it to a manageable 4-6 record against him and then even it up next season. Or take the lead if we can beat them in the SEC tourney title

Hopefully they continue to kick the arena can down the road and Oats ends up leaving. Hard to argue he’s not an elite coach.

I think he ends up leaving once a better gig opens up. How they haven’t agreed to build a new arena yet is insane.
Hope he doesn’t end up at UK. Would prefer him out of the conference
