Broome seems like a much more effective scoring center than we’ve had in awhile. He’s not blind. He sees that we need to ride Broome down the stretch too, especially over throwing up long threes when they’re not going down.

I will give Broome credit, he stepped up,his play the last couple games and really improved from the FT line. It’s a shame the others have decided to go,full retard.

We fell a whopping 2 spots in the NET to 9.

NET 9
Kenpom 7

I suspect we fall to around 14-15 in the AP but the AP doesn’t factor in for the committee

Really need our 3’s to help out on the defensive glass. Chris Moore and CBM have abysmal defensive rebounding percentages. Last year flanigan was an elite rebounder for his position and now we are on the other end of the spectrum. If those two can’t get it done I’d even consider going with Chaney or Jaylin at the 3 against certain teams

Seems like they are relied upon to do a lot of on ball defending this year from the 3 spot. Tre and Aden seem to be benefiting getting more rebounds than usual in a Bruce defense. So it may have more to do with scheme then their actual rebounding. Haven’t paid close enough attention to the 3 spot rebounding

There is some truth to that as well. All I know is we have got to be better on the glass. It has been a key component of 3 of our 4 losses. Our defense is first class but the possession isn't over until you are headed the other way with the ball.

Cardwell's DRB% is putrid as well. Broome has been rebounding the hell out of the ball. Jaylin and Chaney are around average for their position.

We contest so many shots with the attempted block shots which leads to 1 thing positive in low FG percentage allowed and 1 thing negative in that those block attempts you aren’t putting yourself in positions to rebound.

Granted the Miss state game was way to many offensive rebounds allowed

Until we win some Q1 games that’s about where we should be in an opinion poll.

NET 9
Kenpom 7
AP poll 16

If the committee met today we would be a solid 3 seed for those that panicked over the weekend.

I think where we are as a program a sensible expectation is a 5/6 seed or higher most years that puts you right around a top 20ish team

People are stupid. As a team this group plays harder than most. We lost because we rushed shots and went a little too much iso. It's just Jan and these are things that can and will be coached out of them.

Other than Vandy and maybe Arky I don’t think you can take any wins for granted in league play this year
