How our pros fared in the month of November: LINK
(Highlights of NBA/ G-League guys in link)
Sounds like JT Thor and Jared Harper had a pretty epic battle when their G-League teams played, scoring 34 and 35 respectively

Sharife Cooper, Atlanta Hawks
Cooper has bounced back-and-forth between the Hawks and the G-League in his first year out of Auburn. On Nov. 14, he scored his first NBA points with a fastbreak lay-up against the Milwaukee Bucks. The second-round pick is off to a red-hot start in the G-League, averaging 15.5 points and 5.0 assists per game for the College Park Skyhawks. In just his fourth game, Cooper posted his first double-double with 17 points and 11 assists.

He posted a season-high 17 points against the Brooklyn Nets on Nov. 19 and then scored in double figures in each of the next two games. The former Auburn star sat out the 2019-20 season recovering from an ACL injury but made his NBA debut last year and started 17 games down the stretch. On Monday night, Okeke played a season-best 27 minutes.
quote:
Isaac Okoro, Cleveland Cavaliers
Since returning from a hamstring injury at the beginning of November, Okoro has started every game for a Cavaliers team on the rise. The second-year player, picked No. 5 overall, is averaging 7.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He's scored 10 points in each of the last two games and his +/- has been in the positive the last three games – all wins. He also has at least one steal in six of his last eight games. Okoro put up a season-high 15 points against the Brooklyn Nets on Nov. 22, one of five games in double figures this season.
quote:
JT Thor, Charlotte Hornets
Listed on the NBA roster for the Hornets, Thor has started his career playing for the team's G-League affiliate, the Greenboro Swarm, and is averaging 14.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game through the first eight games. The rookie forward put up 34 points and 12 rebounds in his pro debut against the Birmingham Squadron. He's scored in double figures in each of the last three games, including a 21-point effort on Nov. 26.

In his first year with the Long Island Nets, Brown has been solid as usual with 10.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. quote:
Samir Doughty, Lakeland Magic
Acquired by the Lakeland Magic in a draft day trade before the season, Doughty is averaging 5.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists for his new team. Doughty was originally drafted 22nd overall by the Iowa Wolves in this year's NBA G-League draft.
quote:
Malik Dunbar, Agua Caliente Clippers
After playing the 2019-20 season with the Artland Dragons in Germany, Dunbar found a new home prior to this season with the Agua Caliente Clippers in the G-League. He's getting 7.8 minutes per game and scored in each of the team's first three games.
quote:
Jared Harper, Birmingham Squadron
Like his Auburn counterparts in the G-League, Harper also found a new home this season in Birmingham where's continued to tear it up. The former Auburn point guard leads his team and is 37th in the league with 20.5 points per game. His 5.5 assists per game is also a team best and puts him among the top 40 in the league. In his first game with the Squadron, Harper poured in a season-high 35 points and six assists.

I vote new thread unless someone will update this one.

Agreed. I could maybe get behind a new thread AFTER the season. But it's gotta be bad luck to just bail and start a whole new thread mid-season.
If we lose to Yale on Saturday, we'll have to ban CorchJay from the board

You'd get plenty of votes for that even if we don't lose to Yale.

Do we think Lior Berman continues to play after Flannigan returns?
Pearl said after the UCF game that he could see Lior continuing to get more minutes.. and idk about y'all, but I'd be okay with Berman cutting into Cambridge's minutes if that means Lior can keep seeing the floor.

Kinda seems like Lior has cut Chris Moore out of the rotation a bit. We’ll see if that holds against SEC talent though. I say that to say, wonder if Flanigan comes back and takes Cambridge primary 3 minutes, then Berman competes with Cambridge for backup 3 minutes.

Maybe a stupid question, but what happened to Stretch? He's not getting any minutes, even in the last 2 min.
Posted on 12/3/21 at 9:31 am to slacker130
I think someone said it earlier but Stretch is in a weird spot of not being good enough to get many minutes but not bad enough that you can risk an injury or something in garbage time.
He just doesn’t have the offensive game to warrant taking minutes from Kessler and Cardwell.

That is the stupidest thing I’ve ever read. You don’t just not play the last guy on the bench because he’s decent and don’t want to risk injury. He is the most replaceable guy we have. Play the man when the white caboose is in. I imagine he actually wants to play after all.

Let’s keep this one through the end of this season
Agreed. If it ain't broke, don't frick with it.
Additionally, the timing, the present timing to make such a change is extremely inauspicious. Don't ask.
My two cents. Can't wait for the next anything concerning AU shooty hoops.
WDE!

Gotta call it the Bruce Caboose now with Preston Cook out there.
You haven’t been taken your prescribed Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity training I see.

I wouldn’t be shocked at all if he doesn’t want to go in for the last 48 seconds of a game that’s over just to watch a walk on chunk up a 3. The reality is Stretch’a value to the team is being a good teammate and an extra big man on the roster in case of an injury or foul trouble.
Like you said, he’s the last guy on the bench yet people love to speculate why he’s not playing or think he should be playing.

Y’all act like stretch is bad or something. He’s a solid big man on defense and a decent rebounder. You can’t run your offense through him but end of game situations he should be getting minutes or could be a couple things that I mentioned in the other thread. Possibly slight injury or doesn’t want to burn a year unless the team needs him because of an injury so that he can transfer somewhere to get playing time. He’s a great teammate and I’m sure still is but probably realized that SEC competition might be a little high for him.
Posted on 12/3/21 at 11:12 am to CorchJay
He’s already played in two games this year and I don’t think the ncaa has given basketball a few game grace like football so I think redshirting this year is out the window, could be wrong on that though if they did make a change.
Posted on 12/3/21 at 11:13 am to AA7
I think it’s the same 1/4 of the season if I’m not mistaken like football.
Posted on 12/3/21 at 11:35 am to CorchJay
Everything I’ve found online indicates that rule is only for football. Would be dumb if that’s the case, but can’t find anything to the contrary.

He can't catch. The only value you get from him is as an on the ball defender and rim protector. He can't even catch the ball cleanly enough to be an effective rebounder. I love his effort and from all reports he is a great teammate but his hands are far to limiting to play at this level.
