Not that I’ve seen. Apparently he’s been walking around without a boot for a little while now so he’s probably not too far off. They’re going to ease him back in though. Rushing him back greatly increases his risk of re-injury.

We're going to need him If we want a chance to win the sec regular season championship. I don't want him rushed back. But I also don't want to fall behind and have to catch up in the standing

Gotta think bigger picture. His health. I would love an SEC regular season championship but get him back when he’s healthy enough to be back. Also this team is capable of being a sweet 16 elite 8ish type team. We get rolling at the right time you never know maybe final 4. Jabari and Walker Kessler’s don’t come through the door very often. We have to get better guard ply in the offense. KD has been great. Greene shows spurts. Zep has been solid but you need elite guard play in the big dance. Keep developing young men.

Trying to get my mind of off the loss yesterday. The ESPN BPI has us 23-8 (12-6) with quite a few 50/50 games including where they have us losing to Saint Louis.

Can’t argue with that record. I could see us beating St. Louis and going 11-7 in conference. Would assume after the sect we are sitting right around
25 wins. That should get us a 3-4 seed considering how strong the conference is.

It Honestly still to early to tell.i would take that I think. if Flan comes back strong maybe that bumbs it up to 13-5 but like I said quite a few were 50/50

I'm curious if we are looking at participating in any early season tournaments next year? I see the Maui and Bahamas tournaments have already been filled out.

Dang, definitely looks like a lackluster field. Oh well, tournament experience is always good and I'm sure the kids will like Cancun.

Remains to be seen. They do 2 divisions of 4, one for smaller schools, the Mayan division and one for bigger schools, the Riviera division.

Purdue is actually really good. I imagine Northwestern will be in the Riviera with us. If the 8th team they add is a good one it could be more challenging than it appears right now.

Ha maybe, but with turnover in college basketball these days who knows what our roster looks like this time next year.

Scratch that it's Purdue Fort Wayne, not Purdue.

We'd smash the current Riviera unless they add a quality 8th team.

KenPom Notes:
KD Johnson 4th nationally in STL%
Walker Kessler 7th nationally in BLK%

The three guys in front of him are either absolute demons or walk ons that managed to get a swipe or two on their limited minutes

This is a really talented team, but I just don't think Green or Jasper are good enough as floor generals to put us over the edge.

I like both of them a lot, and I think they're both very good role players

But I just see PG, and really both G spots on the offensive end, as being what ultimately holds this team back from a championship (SEC championship still definitely in play for this team though).

Not sure I see this team as Final Four caliber yet. I would definitely still take the 2019 team over this one.

I think Flanigan and KD give us enough from the wing spots. I really do. Green will have his moments as well. I was skeptical of our guards coming into the season but they’ve been better than I expected. It helps that our 4’s are capable ball handlers and hopefully get the chance to create/initiate more as the season goes on

TeamRankings projects us as a 2 seed right now and projects a 3 way tie with LSU and Florida for the conference. Enjoy.

I agree with a lot of your info our our guards exeept for the 'floor general' comment.

I see Green in spurts showing signs of good vision looking for the open man, bc he's a little quicker than Jasper.

Jasper is not the guy to run point, but he's definitely the guy I want to defend a player that is hitting lights out, or at end of the game to defend guards.

The one that I think has shown to be a good court general is KD. His drive ability and his tenaciousness, allows him to penetrate the best of our guards, and he has shown a good eye to dish off or alley oop a big guy too.

So with all 3 I think we have enough to get us on the radar for a SEC CHampionship.

And I really like how this team, so early, so far, is one of PEarl's best teams that seem to play well together, and play together on offense. In the past it seemed to take Pearl's team to get into early sec play before they starting playing well togehter.

p.s. And please, don't allow Cambridge to pass anymore inside from his wing spot. He's a horrible passer, period!
