This team is starting to mesh and Jabari showed a little bit of alpha dog after the 3 today. He seems so quiet and well mannered that we need that to come out so he can just take over games. I remember when the light turned on for Chuma in 2019.

We have a good one. You can tell by how gentle Pearl has been early. He’s giving Smith the business but mostly he’s just coaching guys. Smith can take it.

I think we’re really good. I think other coaches have directly and indirectly said it. UConn’s coach sounded relieved to get by us. Said he didn’t want to think about that game again until they were back in Connecticut.

This is the most fun we have been to watch since March 2019, and best we have looked in November since I’ve been watching Auburn basketball (since around 1998). Honestly sad there isn’t a game tomorrow.

Banchero is insane. He looks like a guy that’s been in the league a year or two.

ETA: I agree with your rankings unless someone just falls in love with the uniqueness of Holmgren. It’s cool to say you’ve got a 7 footer that can dribble and shoot, but Jabari seems ahead of him as far as being able to contribute right off the bat and the only real advantage Holmgren has over him is the shot blocking.

Paolo has some thick legs. Once His upper body fills out he will be a stud. He can easily be a perennial NBA all star kind of player.

Jabari is better than Chet.

Chet needs a cheeseburger or 5 before he's even close to NBA ready.

I outweigh him by 30 pounds at 6'3 and that's insulting for a guy that wants to be an NBA big.

He ain't Dirk or Jokic. Too awkward. He can dribble and shoot? Yeah cool. He needs to put on some damned weight so he doesn't get his arse kicked like he did tonight by middling college bigs like Williams.

I didn’t see much middling talent out there at all. Both the Zags and Duke are loaded with NBA talent. That was a helluva game.

Regarding our game…I was really pleased the way we passed the ball today (edit: I mean yesterday…I just watched it on dvr this morning) I had not seen that side of our game yet. KDJ is a baller of the highest order but I didn’t see him dish much until yesterday. All our players really distributed the ball well vs ‘Cuse and we got several easy buckets as a result. You could see us grow up over the course of this tournament. It is going to pay huge dividends when we get to conference play. Kessler grew up a bunch too down there. He realized you gotta go hard to the rim. I also love the way Bruce is using Cardwell, J Williams, and Cambridge of the bench. Hoops is gonna be a blast this year!

We have great perimeter D and rim protectors.

Saw a stat where last year Flanigan and Cambridge were our best defenders with a total of 24 steals each.

In 6 games this year, KD Johnson has 20 steals.

Unbelievable and relentless player at both ends of the court.

I even like what Zep has brought to the table even if his stats aren’t great. He is a solid calming presence, making few mistakes on O and being a menace on D. Need him to make open threes down the road.

Last year it felt like we played an entire season with guys playing out of position. This years team is much more balanced. Jabri does look like a guy who can just get a basket if needed. If Allan is healthy he and KD also have that ability to just get to the hoop. This team will be fun to watch.

We were. Turbo busting and Cooper's suspension forced Powell, a natural 2, to run point with Flan spelling him.

Then Powell got hurt, Coop was ruled eligible, the HE got hurt and we ended the season with a natural 3 in Flan being our full time PG.

It was a mess.

Cambridge is basically starting at the swingman/3 role for the moment. Flan returning sends him to the bench.

Which is where he can really add value to the team. If he can embrace the Malik Dunbar role of being the guy who comes off the bench and knocks down a three or has a big dunk and fire up the rest of the team then I will be thrilled.

Has hoke or anyone updated Allen health ? I doubt he's needed in any of the remaining OOC games but it'd be nice be have him 100% and back for the full SEC schedule
