Cooper is signing with an agent -- thus forgoing his college eligibility per Jonathan Givony.

Edit: College hoops can be weird sometimes. How are we supposed to remember a guy like Cooper at Auburn? 12 games in pandemic season lol

I feel like we speculated on his recruitment for three years just for him to show up and give us an underwhelming 3 weeks in our uniform.

According to Hooks, he has gotten VERY positive NBA feedback as I suspected he might.

Agreed. I posted on this board several times about how I was more hyped about him than any recruit in Auburn history regardless of sport so I'm definitely a bit underwhelmed. But he's an undeniable talent and hopefully he will be another name in a long list of successful Bruce Pearl point guards.

He'd probably be gone anyway, but I would imagine he's signing with his dad. Kinda sucks he's not an NCAA "approved" agent.

IMO, Cooper is one another year could help. He is gonna get buried in some random G-league team.

That's apparently not what NBA teams are telling him, per Hooks.

Good for him. Makes sense as to why we’ve been hitting the transfer market so heavily.

Hope he goes in the 1st round

Justin Ferguson
@JFergusonAU
Sharife Cooper’s Auburn career:

- 26 PTS, 9 A
- 28 PTS, 12 A
- 11 PTS, 8 A
- 25 PTS, 4 A
- 16 PTS, 12 A
- 28 PTS, 7 A
- 15 PTS, 5 A
- 19 PTS, 9 A
- 15 PTS, 14 A
- 19 PTS, 8 A
- 26 PTS, 2 A

all vs. SEC/Baylor

might not see another instant-impact offensive talent quite like that

He chose to come here... I’ll follow his career and hope he is successful at the next level.

No doubt. Purely my opinion.

I mean Okoro wasn't a ton different with playing no postseason. It's nice to look at AU guys playing in the NBA regardless. The circumstances with their Auburn careers does suck though.

Okoro led a group of seniors to postseason eligibility.

Cooper kinda just made the second half of a meaningless season less miserable.

Yeah but I do feel way more connected to Okoro than I do Cooper. Not sure if it's just a few more games or because the team was good and eligible. It probably was a top 5 or 6 team in school history.

I understand what each did.

Okoro's season still sucked with no postseason. There were some memorable regular season games, but it still felt incomplete.

I know a main reason for that for me is that I couldn't actually go to any games.

Yeah, I guess, but in my mind I can always convince myself that team would have won the natty
