Powell may play himself into leaving early at the rate he is going.

I think his athleticism may keep him around longer than this year. The skill and size is there, but I could see NBA teams being concerned about his ability to defend and create on his own. I thought he was a surefire four year guy, but now I’d be surprised if that happened.

Next year is this team's year. More experienced team plus Cooper and Jabari/Alexander. It will be one of the best teams Auburn has ever had.

Unless something unexpected happens that team is going to be fun to watch, especially if Coop gets deemed eligible.

Idk about soon but I hope we are able to hold off the blue bloods and snag him. He’s a freak athlete and his shot has apparently gotten better. He’s a definite one and done, but he would be fun to watch in Bruce’s hands.

Flanigan is very much a candidate to leave after this year as well but we will see. Need 2 of Coop/Flanigan/Powell back next year to be as elite as we hope to be.

Ahh, didn't realize new were over with our current signings, good to know. As you two mentioned, Franklin would be the logical one to leave.

The way some of our guys are playing and developing, I’m starting to worry about our ‘next year’ dreams being derailed by the NBA lol. What a problem to have.

JGT says he’s hearing a rumor that Oats and Petty got into a fistfight. Woah

That’s the rumor on Twitter. Apparently Rojas got involved as well. Losing those two would be a major blow. Petty has the potential to go off in any game and Rojas is one of the few players they have with any size/strength.

And unfortunately I think there is a decent chance we get scholarship reductions in addition to our self imposed post season ban. OSU got their scholarship limit dropped to 10 for 3 years. Their infraction was pretty similar to ours.

Okoro has a nice debut last night. He started, went 11/5/3 with a 3 made and 2/2 from the line. His first basket was an alley oop (first points came on free throws): LINK

I still think we have at least another year if not two with Powell.

That eval was a little too flowers and rainbows.

Agreed. He will struggle to get his shots off and it won't come as easy in the SEC. He will struggle athletically on the other end as well.

I think he's awesome but not ready for the NBA.

I'm betting Cooper gets cleared on the 18th.
