Green said Memphis finished 2nd.

I thought he said AU was second, anyway not sure whatever he says shouldn’t be questioned, as he supposedly was telling our players how he was gonna kill em in practice hours before the announcement.

It was all over Twitter for about five minutes during his announcement that he said if he didn’t go pro he would’ve chosen Memphis

Exactly. Sorry if that was confusing. Meant that even if the g league didn’t step in, we still would have only finished second for both.

Gotcha

"why would any HS kid go to college with that on the table?"

Not like they can't get hooked up in NBA cities.

Corey Evans pretty much saying his Kuminga forecast is worthless.
quote:

Yes, and while I do not think that a commitment is imminent, Jonathan Kuminga is set to reveal his final five in the coming days. This might translate to a more sped up decision timeline which could be related to a potential move into the 2020 class.

There is still work to be done in order for Kuminga to reclassify into the 2020 class but that process has been made easier by the NCAA's recent change in eligibility requirements due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Back to his recruitment, it remains a guessing game. No one knows which program is the team to beat. Auburn, if it misses on Greg Brown later this week, added in with its whiff on Jalen Green, could push the Tigers to go all in on Kuminga. Georgia is the most recent program to host him for an unofficial visit, Texas Tech is the place where his older brother attends, while Duke, Florida State, Kentucky and LSU should also be monitored. I would expect his final five to come from those schools noted.

The new G League path that Green is taking this fall could also be something that intrigues Kuminga. Time will tell, but there is a chance that we don’t see Kuminga on a college hardwood at all.

If we lose out to the G-League 3 times then that’s absurd

Like I said before, guarantee BP holds off the full court press on any blue chippers going forward if all 3 go G League.

We didn’t make Justin Kier’s final list. That tells me we probably didn’t make a strong push. I wonder who Bruce is going after.

Auburn has updated its roster with official heights and weights for the three 2020 commits already signed:

PG Sharife Cooper: 6-0, 160
SG Justin Powell: 6-5, 180
F Chris Moore: 6-6, 220

Not sure Corey realizes this but per G League rules Kuminga is not eligible for the G League this coming season. Kuminga doesn't turn 18 til October & per G League rules players have to have turned 18 no later than September 15 to play in the immediate season. Not saying the G League won't work around that for him but it's worth mentioning

He's 6' if you're measuring from the top of his hair

Wasn't Jared listed at 6' in some places?

There is absolutely zero way he is 6 foot. I am 5'11 and he is definitely shorter than me. I have stood next to him.

I mean I guess he could have grown, he is a HS senior. But the start of the season, he definitely was not close to 6'..that was in December.
