“He’s done well,” Pearl said. “Trayvon’s progressing very well, making progress in the classroom, off the court. … He will definitely help us next year.”

You mean just how Bruce thought he "helped us" his freshman year with all <5 minutes per game?

quote:

As he trains and conditions, I want to see what Trayvon is going to be like in a year. He helped us last year. He will help us this year.

Or how Bruce thought he was progressing a lot during the 2014/15 season which showed pretty much 0 progress?

quote:

He has improved a lot as far as his preparation, and as far as his habits, training, work in the weight room, his diet, and just his attention to being consistent on a schedule," Pearl said.

Or maybe progressing and being helpful on the team isn't the same as 'substantial role'. Maybe Bruce isn't going to throw a young kid under the bus to reporters who ask him point blank his future

We get it, you played high school basketball before 3pters and when Peach baskets were used as hoops. The game is changing grandpa. A legit 7,2 post defender like Roy Hibbert is basically a pariah, mid range shooters are inefficient and a host of other changes.

Seriously though, how incredibly shitty of a poster are you? You complain about Trayvon Reed literally the past year. Now all the sudden you are pissed because we are looking to replace him with potential future impact transfers?

quote:

I would rather sign a another big this upcoming class, than keep Reed anyway.

quote:

aren't entirely sufficient as our post players. I'm not going to buy the hype that Reed is substantially better, until I see it. We need bodies down low.

Oh wait TigerProwl wants to be a terrible poster and completely change direction inside a couple weeks

quote:

Reed may have been our starting center.

Still hearing that Wiley is headed to a Prep School. In fact, it will be Elev-8 in FL, according to my friend in Mobile.

He must be pretty far behind, for them to be deciding already.

I guess this would just mean he is delayed one year? I'm not hip to the B'ball ins and outs of non qualifiers.

Could be as little as one semester but hard to say he doesn't miss all FR year.

As much as this sucks, it isn't hte worst thing in the world. For a developing team, as long as he eventually ends up at AU we are good

Your friend is wrong. He is on track to qualify without any issues.

I automatically assumed this. To act so nonchalant about a 5* basketball recruit of ours being diverted to prep school, I pretty much considered him to be nothing but a troll
I will be more worried about it when a poster or beat writer with more credibility states that AW is in trouble.

Not sure where this delaying a year stuff is coming from. We have the same friend & likely got the same message. I asked for clarification. This is what was said

quote:

Damn! Is he going this, his Sr year so he will be at AU for 2017? Or will he do 1 more year at Spain Park first?

quote:

Think he is going to prep school for his senior year to get to AU in 2017. He has lots of work to make up.

I could easily be wrong also but it seems pretty obvious he did not intend for it to be posted publicly. That's why I have not said anything to anyone about it til this reply.

Stephen Hooks who is very right when it comes to AU basketball most of the time, said pretty much this..

The original source is good overall w/ football recruiting. This is the first time I've seen him w/ a basketball nugget. Hooks has much more credibility w/ the round ball.

Oh and the original reason I stopped by. I have seen many AU fans tweeting & posting wanting to know about 4* PF Romello White who is asking Ga Tech to release his NLI. Stephen Hooks said on Friday Romello & AU not going to happen.

I would be utterly shocked if a kid with two former Auburn athlete, Auburn graduate parents, both who are involved in the field of education, wasn't able to achieve what it takes to get academically qualified to get into college as an athlete.

So Lee-Scott 6-10 C/F Heath Huff has chosen to walk on at Auburn.

Anybody see this kid play? From the description, even at his size, he seems like more of a shooter than a post presence.
