We’re number 10 in ESPN’s latest power ranking and 12 in this week’s AP poll.

Not gonna lie, I think we are overrated. We are in the 20-25 range in my opinion. Still better than I'd have thought before the season.

Looking at how much of the other teams have played, I don't think we are that overrated. Maybe 10-15. Now, if we shoot like we did against Furman, yea we are going to lose some games.

With our defense though, we can easily be a 10-15 team.

Can be, but I just have concern with how we will perform when we are going against the SEC every night. We look like a 10-8 or so team in SEC play to me. Good, but not great.

We have a lot to clean up on both ends. Lots of potential. I'd like to see another guard step up defensively. Really want to see jamal improve

We don’t shoot very well. Don’t hit FTs. Our best defender is a TF. I feel like our bubble can be popped any day now. When we see NC State soon we will find out what we are made of.

This team will be much different come February/March. Especially once they get on a schedule of playing often. I'm not taking anything they do in December too seriously.

Agree that we could be a top 10 team, but are more likely a 20-25 team unless we gel and get into a shooting groove further into the season.

10-15 is probably about right. It’s hard for me to think of 20 teams better than us.

Considering I came into the season just hoping to make the NCAAT and maybe steal a game in the NCAAT it’s safe to say this season is very much exceeding expectations

We may be overrated or may not be. With all the 1 or 2 & dones plus all the transfers I don't think there is many really good or great teams. I think the experience of our 5 SRs will be huge as the season progresses.

Given how the bottom half of the SEC has struggled this season we should end up in the 13-5 range but no worse than 12-6.

From this far away it seems that way but coaches like Martin, White, and Kermit always have their teams looking better when they are playing every 3-4 days. Add in Kentucky and Tennessee and then talented teams like Bama, Georgia, and Arky and I’d say over half the league could beat us any given night. 11 wins in SEC play is a good goal I think.

Martin
Home game. Should win.

My scenario has UF beating us down there.

Kermit
My worst case had us splitting them

Kentucky and Tennessee
Have us splitting the 4 games with them.

Bama, Georgia
Unless they get quite a bit better we should sweep those 4.

Even though my worst case is 12-6 I agree.

Wrong Martin.

First, Missouri in conference has a considerable advantage at home due to traveling to that forsaken wasteland. We play them mid conference grind on only a couple days rest.

Second, Missouri plays a slow pace defense oriented style which this AU team might not match up well with. The type of pace where cold night shooting won't have time to heat up

It is a coin flip type game, lean Auburn though

UGA is likely going to be a bubble NCAA team and extremely tough out at home. Bama is likely two wins but Nate OatzNhoez teams throw up 3s, always a risk of them getting hot.

Mediocre to expected should be 3-1. No idea how you think worst case is 4-0 sweep

bottom half of the SEC

Games that we should probably expect to get at least 1 more loss in

@MSU- Solid looking team, Kenpom 55 and likely a true bubble team

USCe- Frank Martin and his style owns Bruce, we can accept it

LSU- They are likely a tournament team

quote:

but no worse than 12-6.

So to recap, thus far I've totalled 2.5 losses

That means to do no worse than 12-6 we'd can only have a max of 4 losses in the following

- UK
- @UK
- UTk
- @UTk
-@UF
-@Arky

- OleMiss
-@OleMiss

- TAMU
- Vandy

quote:

we should end up in the 13-5 range

We should end up 12-6, +/- 1 game

10-8 is disappointing but respectable. Anything less than 10 is alarming though

They are a Jekyll & Hyde team but we should beat them. I mean they lost at home to an awful Charleston Southern team for Pete's sake.

Bama's loses combined with in UGA's only 2 quality opponents they were run out of the gym in the 1st half but I can take 3-1.

Gave the L @ Miss St in my scenario. And lol at Frank Martin owning Bruce. AU is 3-4 in that series since Bruce was hired. Owning in a series of 7 games would mean the owner wins no less than 6 of them.

Kentucky lost at home to Evansville. This happens in CBB all the time. Hell, we are very close to have 2 midmajor losses on our resume right now v USA/Furman

The bigger point is that traveling to Mizzou is terrible and there is a reason Mizzou's home conf record/play is significantly better than road

We have never won @USCe and I believe USCe is the last SEC program Bruce has not beat by 10+

If you watch our 3Ws you'd know that those were all brawls we could have easily lost. Probably should have lost 2 of them to be honest

Frank Martins style is just built to defend what we do. Every scheme has weaknesses

Steven Pearl was handing out donuts and coffee for student’s finals.

You’d think he was HCIW.
