Everyone thinks AU shoots a lot of 3s but at only 50% we will be closer to the new normal

We are about to see every recruit able to shoot small or big. The kids who grew up playing in the Steph Curry era are about to being coming through the pipeline

With our style, we should be shooting 65+% from 3FG

Yeah I agree. It’s something that is going to limit the amount of suitors coming after Wiley too

I went back and watched the Wiley Team USA videos where he dominated

I'm starting to wonder if part of his problem is practice intensity. It is practice, no one in Team USA practice was even attempting to match his bruising, smash mouth style.

I'm starting to wonder if that's Wileys problem. Until games start, no one fights back/challenges him. He seems like a passive person which only makes it worse

So just to flame the "F the NCAA"

There was a blatant hook and hold non call against Duke on final play that is and should be reviewed

You know, what the repeatedly call on AU / Anfernee

Tulane hired Ron Hunter from GA State. If I’m Steven Pearl, I’m doing everything I can to get an interview for that gig

Which gig, Tulane assistant? You don't mean GSU HC right?

Georgia State has won the Sun Belt in 3 of the last 5 years. If there’s a position at a mid major likely to succeed I’d think it’s that one. Sits in a recruiting hot bed, close to family, recent success in the tournament, etc.

Why wouldn’t that be a good first job?

That would be an amazing job for him if they want him

Why would you think they'd be interested in Steven Pearl? He has only two seasons as the far bench assistant

For comparison, Pitino the younger was an assistant for 6 years including 2 as associate HC

Oh and Pitino doesn't have the very political Twitter history that Steven does

Dennis Dodd
@dennisdoddcbs
UNC outrebounding first two tournament opponents 100-50.

Would be worried but it’s not like we try to rebound.

There are way more qualified candidates than Pearl.

For example, Tony Benford would be a good hire if LSU brings Wade back.
Tony Barbee sucked at AU but didn't suck at UTEP, he's a good hire.
There are dozens of others...

Steven isn't ready yet IMO

If we hire his coach, we can’t recruit Watford, correct?

ETA: it’s been clarified that we can recruit both the coach and the recruit as long as the coach has an on-court position.
