Regular season is definitely more of an accomplishment IMO but I could see arguing this is more fun for sure

I want another shot at Duke! We were close to taking them down the first time. I think the moment was a bit too big for the team then. It won't be the next time! Damn it's Great to be an Auburn tiger!!

I'd rather pair a regular season title with a deep NCAAT run than a SECT + NCAA run

Danjel Purifoy clutched TF up btw. He was disruptive in passing lanes on D, he rebounded/tipped balls out regularly, made clutch 3s and had some nice drives

If he takes that another step forward, I'd be scared AF of AU in the tournament. Not sure how you guard our #4 scoring option if he is a long 6'9 3FG shooter who can drive

Part of me is worried about a NCAAT letdown after this week but we just seem to have so many buttons to press right now. And we’ve found a real edge. Every game of this tournament when we’ve really needed a key stop or a key bucket, we’ve gotten it.

i know this sounds shitty as a fan, but damn - i'm so pumped right now - i am thrilled we made the NCAA to begin with....the SEC tourney victory was unexpected and even better

I want us to win at least one NCAA game but if we lose first round, oh well.

I will be disappointed but only for a little while

Agreed. It would suck but this season is clearly a success regardless. Auburn basketball isn’t supposed to win championships of any kind.

That being said, our relentless style of play and decision making on offense right now can take us a long way.

He’s got it assuming he/we don’t just collapse in the tourney

It’s going to be great if the top 2 are Bruce players.

I wonder why he didn't shoot as many 3s his SO season. Look at his numbers by year.

FR- (24.7 mpg)
78 made, 211 attempted

SO- (21.1 mpg)
56 made, 140 attempted

JR- (31.2 mpg)
107 made, 280 attempted

SR so far- (31.8 mpg)
123 made, 302 attempted

3 minutes less per game = 71 less attempts? 10 minutes more per game = double the attempts?

Bryce could've been #2 weeks ago without that sophomore slump

1- He was suspended for like 4 games or something for smoking the ganja

2- He started the year shooting like 25-30%. His SEC play was at 46.6% which is why he finished at 40%

You should look back at the posts from his SO year. Everyone wanted to shite on Bryce

This Josh vitale quote

quote:

Bryce Brown, up on the ladder cutting down his piece of the net, asks "What part do I cut?"

"You did this last year," someone responds.

Also, in the wonderful world of hilarious Dunbar things

He picked up Williams at halfcourt during the game, put his hand on Grants shoulder and was quoted as saying

"What's up buddy?"

I was a student at Auburn in '85 and if you told me it would take 34 years for this to happen again I would not have believed you. Auburn WAS a basketball school during those years and it took me a long time during the 2000's to accept we were not anymore. I don't know how long this will last, but I'm really enjoying it!
