How much is Gus’ buyout if he just disappears? (I’m joking, mostly)

What are y'alls predictions for this season?
30-8 (14-4) with a loss in the SECT championship game, and an NCAAT run to the Elite 8 is my guess
11-2 in OOC play. Losses coming to Duke in round 2 of the Maui Invitational, and the second coming either in the 3rd place in Maui (Iowa State or Arizona being most likely opponent there) or @ NC State. The rest we should win but Xavier, Washington, UAB, and even Murray State you can't overlook.
In SEC play, these are the games I have as toss ups or potential losses:
-Tier 1
Kentucky ×2
@ LSU
Tennessee
If we can split with Kentucky then we'll be in good shape. @ LSU now that Tremont Waters has talent around him is scary. I almost put Tennessee in Tier 2, its at Auburn, you know Bruce will have the guys up for that one, and I think we match up well with them
Tier 2:
@ Mississippi State
Florida
State is another team we match up with well. They have some good players, we have a definite edge in talent and coaching.
Tier 3:
@ Bama
@ South Carolina
@ Texas A&M
These are teams we shouldn't lose to this year, but each gives me a different reason to worry going on the road to play them. South Carolina has Frank Martin. Aggies just seem to have our number in everything. Bama bc they still have some solid players and anything can in a rivalry game like that, but hopefully the paying Collin Sexton thing coming to light will cause enough turmoil and distraction that they just tank the season.

Zona is going to be trash this year.
Same with Xavier

I'm just excited to get to watch a lot of Auburn basketball this season on prime networks. We're also going to get mentioned a lot.

This is why Pearl is a genius. He isn't just building a team, he's going to build a brand. He isn't just out there trying to set himself up for success for the next few seasons, he's setting Auburn up for long term success that can our last him.
This Thursday will be a prime example. Pro day in the morning to get the NBA eyes on us and then Tip Off at Toomers live on SEC Network, and you know there will be highlights on Sportscenter just bc of how dope it'll look. For the one day on Thursday all eyes in CBB will be on Auburn. That kind of exposure goes a long with recruits.

Pearl is a hype machine.

We have the basketball hype dream team. Auburn's director of marketing, Dan Heck is a perfect fit for Bruce. Not only did Heck come from a basketball school Zona, he's young, motivated and ambitious.
There is a reason Bruce regularly thanks Dan Heck by name in interviews. Everything from basketball road game buses to the 'W' videos to social media acct brand overhaul has Dan Heck's hands all over it

It will all pay off down the road as long as we are putting out teams that are contending for SEC championships. We got the tip off at Toomers which puts us in the limelight right before our Oct 12 recruiting weekend with Shariffe, Christian Brown, and Okoro making their way for the visit. That’s setting ourselves up to succeed.

I didn't realize Brown had transferred to McEachern. I know he has slipped in the rankings but at one point before he hurt his toe he was considered by some a top 10 prospect.

So what time does this Toomer’s thing kick off? Might have to catch some it it for some hope this year.

He started receiving CBs to Georgia on October 2nd. He didn’t OV until the 5th. What’s going on there? Hopefully he still visits.

He said some things about schools staying with him when he struggled and UGA has kept him a priority. He's a 2020 guy though so we have plenty of time to change his mind.

Hate to rain skepticism on the hype train, but the weather could screw some things up Thursday.

With UGA going through coaching changes, the relationship between them never wavered. It seems to be the logical choice for him. If Turbo would've committed a few weeks ago, we wouldn't even have room for him in this class. There is still one scholly open, so i guess we'll see what happens. Could Okoro, Brown and Cooper have the lure of playing in college together at Auburn?
Also, the UK coaches visited Cooper last week and in return, he visited UK this past weekend. It seems like there is serious mutual interest with Kentucky and even though we all knew this day was coming, it's still unsettling. We'll see.
Part of me wants to believe that UK and UGA knew how crucial this upcoming AU visit was and wanted to give one last ditch effort to convince them otherwise and through dialogue, knew they were ready to decide. Another part of me wants to thank our lucky stars for Okoro, wish Cooper the best of luck at UK and acknowledge Brown is merely a courtesy visit with some friends/coaches in his ear..

As far as I know, he's a 2019 prospect and Chad Dollar, now at UGA, has been recruiting him since he was at Auburn. Part of the reason why TC retained him.

Dollar is also connected in the ATL area in general. Crean needed assistants with those connections

You're right. For some reason I was putting him in the same class as Cooper.
