And why Steele will run exactly what Saban wants while padding his retirement even more... because every little bit helps.

Flabbergasted at the amount of talking heads this morning just ripping their takes straight from forums. They're coping hard. Kevin Steele is one thing, but it's different when it follows that OC hire. They know it.

Yeah what Bama fans don’t realize is most people are mocking them right now because Saban was so publicly turned down by so many before digging in the bottom of the barrel.

Hell Schumann is a Bama alum and still turned it down so Mama ain’t so appealing with an old arse man running the show it seems.

Also the mental gymnastics of “this is Saban’s O and D” yet “BoB and Golding are the reasons we suck!”.

Does anyone really think Tommy Rees is worth more than double that BoB? I mean I get neither are world beaters, but that screams of desperation.

Steele will recruit well and with the talent put a good/great product on the field.

When you have the jimmies and joes the X’s and O’s become much easier

by recruit, you mean buy? Then yes, he will recruit great. Left to his own accord, not so much

At the end of the day I think everyone seen how Golding and BOB was done and they don't want any part of it. I can't say that I blame them either.

Steele will do well there. He brought defense back to Auburn. With the talent that he will have at his disposal, they should be tough. Better than Golding.

UNLESS, the rumors are true that Bama players have an entitlement problem. They are not like the early teams, the hungry ones. They don’t want to put in the same work that the early teams did. They feel that the jersey will win the game. NIL hasn’t helped their entitlement problem.

When is the last time Steele has had a top 15 defense?

If that’s the case Steele’s the man for the job. Speaking from being in a Steele meeting or two, guys want to play for him. He teaches the same “Do Your Job” team defense that Saban and Muschamp do. You have to work as a team to be effective. Everyone is accountable.
