D. McNeal isn't even in 2 deep? Eta: neither is Holland

Neither were at practice that day. The fact that Reed hasn't done much of anything his whole career at AU yet always finds his way into the starting lineup tells me that our WR talent isn't that good.

These aren't even close to being official our what wesee so don't freak out. Uzomah has been a stud but not on first team
TReed has had recovery from a serious injury followed by the fact that he had shitty QBs and OLines complementing the receiving core. Same reason statistically no one did well last year. According to the stats, everyone was a bust last year.
Also, we have 5 or 6 scholarship wrs on campus, odds are he makes the starting 3 especially when he is one od the only upper classmen

Yeah. WAY too many glaring issues with that depth chart

Our lack of quality depth is scaring shite out of me

Spring time depth always looks thin because of this (unless you're 'bama and you process 5-10 players between now and fall camp). When you're missing 1/4 of your scholarship players, some positions are going to be thin.

help is on the way at WR... the OL depth is fine. Hopefully Barber makes it on campus and the RB depth will be fine.
Defensively, the interior DL has plenty of bodies (need to find some actual playmakers)... end is thin, but Lawson and Daniel could chip in early... the back seven is a question mark... no real depth at safety... and linebacker is lacking in quality depth as well.
All in all, we're in decent shape considering it's the first spring under a new head coach... much better depth this spring than when Chizik took over four years ago, IMO.

Expectingfreshman to fill numerous hikes on the two deep is not reassuring.

Well what is he supposed to do when he does not have a QB? Hell in 2011 all Gus did was throw him bubble screens. And our best offensive play last year was the Omac sweep for a 4 yard loss.

That was just how they had it set up at practice yesterday because several guys were either not there or taking the contact portion off due to being "dinged up." The first team has been changing almost every practice, with the exception of Dismukes, Robinson, Slade, Miller, Ford, Whitehead and Garrett.
I would put money on it that every current scholarship WR will see the field plenty this year, as well as all 3 RB's and TE's. The "starters" at those positions are just the guys that will be out there for the first drive.

WR? Easy for any FR to make an impact there. We have 5 on campus now. 9 will be here when fall camp opens up.
LB? Well, we have a JUCO coming in. And, there are only 2 spots. We have a 3 deep already.
RB? Easy for FR.
OL? Don't see a depth concern here.
DL? Possibly just for the fact that we don't have an impact player at end or tackle. Scholarship bodies don't seem to be the concern.
S? Again, JUCO coming in during the summer. Safety would be the only concerning position as Davis has no experience.
CB? Plenty of experience there.
You don't think every team has holes to fill after the spring? Seriously? Geno Smith started 2 games at 'bama last year as a TFR. Cooper was their best WR. DDevall played in all 13 games. DePriest played as a backup in 2011. Sunseri played in 'bama's dime coverage. Kouandjio was the starter at LT. Etc.

Please don't stand in the way of the delicate flower's pessimism and nervous perspiration.
They will run your arse right the hell over.

What's the fun in that? I don't want to live in a world where we can't bash the coaches for an unofficial spring depth chart.

Didn't know this but CAP only played 1 year of high school fb then sat out 2 years before JUCO. He had 2050 yards in only 10 games last year and 25 TDs but the best part is only 3 fumbles

A few shake ups at practice today:
Tre Mason is back with the 1st team as well as Angelo Blackson Nosa Eaguae and Devonte Danzey at LG
1st team Offense: Robinson Danzey Dismukes Slade Miller Wallace Prosch Reed Coates Fulse
Therezie back at practice, still no Mcneal after missing Wed. as well due to "personal: reasons
Ronnie Clark is at practice today
CAP ran with the second team O and really stood out "especially when he ran over TJ Davis" "That dude seeks out contact"
-AB
Josh Holsey worked at Safety today. (How long until we find out Mcneal's been kicked off the team) :\

McNeal was seen at the athletic complex today so he's still around. No word that I can gather on what those personal reasons might be.
