I thought White has always been safety. He was playing safety when he made the goal line tackle on Chris Relf a couple years ago.

You're thinking of Ryan Smith, #24. Ryan White, #19, always played cornerback under Gene Chizik.

You're right. My mistake. I was thinking back on it and Smith's tackle on Relf was probably the only fundamental tackle we saw under Chizik.

You and I have a different definition of fundamental

I can't wait to see this type of D again. Check out the first 5 minutes of this from 2010.

Seeing Artis Payne in pads is like looking at Tate / Fannin. Love his size Im going to go ahead and make a bold prediction that we have 2 1000 yard rushers this season.

From the limited clips, A-P looked like he's got great lateral movement. I know they stopped the plays almost immediately, but he slashed in and out of holes pretty effortlessly on a few plays.

I fully expect the line to be improved. I mean, hell, John Sullen is gone and we have Jordan Diamond and Avery Young back.

Yeah, I can't argue anything you just said. It's going to take some actual results for us to feel comfortable with anything now. It's hard to be excited about anything, being skeptical is the way to go.

Our line is all upside really. Not the worst thing to have in the world but it shouldn't be a strength of the team, especially not early on.

We gonna be bad mf's on the line this year.

I am safe with this because I will be right either way.

The lines aren't really where my major concerns lie. I trust Garner to get the DL going and I think we have enough upside to find a decent OL. O-line was never really a problem while Malzahn was here as OC, even after 2010 and when Chizik slowed down the O the line played decent.

I'm more worried about LB, Safety, WR, and QB.

The OL in 2011 was pretty damn bad. Watch the lsu game again.

Some of them s howed flashes of brilliance. Avery Young played well, Greg Robinson had moments and Reese Dismukes may be buzzed in game but he is solid.

I think Jordan Diamond will be an upgrade at a guard spot and Slade or Danzey will have at least a small upgrade over what Slade did last year.

Not having a pass game also hurts our OLine's ability to block since the defense can essentially play cover 0 and have everyone in the box rush
