Question, why is Patrick Miller still in the 280 range. How has he not gotten to 300 lbs yet?

Any word on his grades? I heard he was a risk back when he signed, but don't know if that's true or not.

Sounds like Cameron Toney was there this morning too. I can't remember a recruit/signee that seemed as excited about coming to AU as him.

Miller has a good frame for muscle, if he was 300lbs he would still look small compared to most 300 lb guys. I like the leaner more athletic OL guys in Malzahns offense.

Because the steroids are administered during summer workouts bro. Winter workouts are to burn off fat start getting muscle. Summer workouts are to put on the muscle. Got nothing better to do

Him and Avery Young have ridiculous looking frames. Will Adams fits the mold too (just not athletic)
They are all 6'7 and lean. If they get up to 300+ it is because it is straight muscle. They don't have huge waists but that huge "upside traingle" look from shoulders to waist which is good
Guys like Jordan Diamond on the other hand are wide and huge. He is 320 because he needs to lose 20 pounds. His athleticism is what allows him to move around so well despite being overweight

Yea, I just figured he would naturally get around 295 at least by now. He is frame is insane

Yeah Miller looks like a large TE or DE

Sounds like Holland is getting primed as "the" backup. He's getting work at both Mike and Will, while Frost is exclusively Mike and McKinzy is exclusively Will

ETA3: Garner lays into someone around the 4:00 mark
It's refreshing to see we have a coach that is going to do that. These kids have to understand what it takes to win games, and I think the last staff let them slide by in practice.
Garner from this morning...
"Screw your cleats in the ground and strike! We are going to knock their butts back behind the line of scrimmage."
A few minutes later: "We don't play on our side of the line of scrimmage! Not going to happen!"

The first day of practice, I was confused about why there was so much movement from outdoor drills to indoor ones. As in: The OL would drill outside on the west end of the complex. Then the next period, they'd move indoors. Then the next period, they'd be outside again. That seems inefficient. Then I was like HEY-O, this is Gus getting them used to moving, moving, moving. So it's planned inefficiency to make players more acclimated to moving around all the time. Cool.
I am pretty sure someone on the board said this about 30 seconds after news came out about practice. Took Tate 3 days to come up with this logic?

Who's the recruit looking guy before Lawson? Assuming Daniel?
Who's number 99?
Holy frick. Coach Gardner needs to lose some weight and drop some intensity or he will be dead before Fall.

Cliffs from a Bunker poster who was at practice:
- Very little downtime, throughout the entire practice. "Constant motion"
- Garner will have us a completely different D-line by our first game. Blackson, Bradley, Wright, Ford, and Eguae looked the best
- OL looks leaner, more in-shape.
- Shon is a hoss
- Lashlee is a "perfectionist"
- Prosch is a beast and will catch some balls this year
- The coaches love Grant
- Wallace is the leader of the QBs right now. Looked more confident and in-control
