Thorne has been ok. The rest of the QBs have been downright bad.
Coleman will be transferring out next portal opening.

Looks like Jaylin Crawford and Kaleb Harris had picks today. Jaylin had the pick-6 off Hank Brown

Nope. Peyton Thorne will be gone in a matter of months and we lead or are in it for 5* level QBs dude. Walker White isn't bad, he's literally only been in college for 3 and a half months. Get a grip man. Coleman is a reasonable kid and he's only leaving if the check doesn't clear.

Let me preface this comment with an understanding of no knowledge or insight or reality.
Might our backup QB performance right now dictate our recruiting position with JuJu? Right of wrong should play into it yes? Curious to say the least.

You go after JuJu and Longstreet no matter what. That's how elite programs operate. Every year regardless of performance you need an elite player at the position. That's how Bama ended up having Jalen and tua at the same time. Let all of them compete in a battle Royale and may the best man win. I mentioned 5* star talent because even if the current guys don't cut it, this staff will continue to bring in top guys no matter what. They actually get it. I don't think it has anything to do with the performance at backup.

Why I hate scrimmage reports
1. Defense dominates.
2. Gives up at least 4 touchdowns

One of the things that should excite is the number of young players in the defensive backfield, and Kelly back there to evaluate them so they get in the optimal spot. Guys like Terrance Love, from Langston Hughes (so you know he is well coached and definitely doesnt hurt our recruiting contacts) got to play in 12 games as a true freshman (doesnt hurt when you are telling recruits, if you are good you will play).
At 6-2, 222 he is larger than some of our LBs, he has wheels and smart.
And we have quite a few like him in the DB, not size wise, but talent wise.

There is one that is gonna be special jt. True cover corner, Kaylin Lee part duo.
Lots of guys to get corner looks early on, Scott, Kite, Crawford, Champ, Hart, Hood, and of course Lee.

How about the front 4?
Same McLeod is standing out. Waller is getting better. Rest is ok. No one looks like a star and we need one. But the OL is pretty solid.

Even tho we may think scrimmages are like A-Day or a high school spring jamboree it’s not. Offense/Defense gets put in certain situations. Maybe the offense starts on the +30 one drive and scores then the next possession they start at -5 coming out just to see if they can power run and pick up a first down.
Closed door scrimmage = live situational training.

Oh I get that. It’s was just a funny way of having them back to back. Similar to in years past when they were like DL looked unstoppable. Next comment, offensive line is going to be a real weakness.

Good points Corch. And on some of the passing plays, they are probably told to throw the ball even if the coverage is there, see if the DB breaks correctly, does the safety close, does the receiver challenge the ball, do other receivers go down the field to block in anticipation of the catch. Lots to learn, and if it gets picked......well now we know Crawford is as good as advertised
Regarding the front four. The outside is gonna be young and okay later in the season. Inside, less they are drinking Stallone's growth hormones, we gonna need some big (literally and figuratively) in the portal.

Freeze interview
He will put 27 on the scoreboard for A Day and tell the offense to beat that number.
I am surprised to find out his practices are often good vs good. 1 vs 1. etc
