I don’t remember ever posting questioning Holden’s arm strength. Feel free to link it though.
Here talking about Holden's lack of championship potential.

I mean, video doesn’t lie. He didn’t have much zip on the ball at all in the ones posted yesterday. Not sure if he’s hurt or what.
You're making judgement off of what, 12 total passes you've seen from three days of practice during warm-up sessions? I've watched the same videos. Nothing in those videos showed really bad arm strength. You're just trying to confirm your own bias. He had bad passes and he had good passes. As did all the QB's. The video from yesterday of the 8 or so passes we saw, he looked for more precise than any of the other guys, but i'm not going to jump to conclusions from a warm-up session

Holden was apparently really bad in a recent practice. Heard that from one person.
Ashford isn't good, so it's really not shocking that Finley is the most impressive out of those three.
Again, I'd be shocked if the starter is currently on the roster right now. I've heard they want to take two transfer QB's post spring if they can get them.

I'm always curious what sessions these end up being from statements like this. The filmed viewing sessions, though obviously limited, that was not the case. The video B. Matthews or 247, can't remember who, posted of yesterdays practice Finley was way off target, so maybe different practice or just different session. It just never seems to be the session that is being filmed that these comments from people at practice ever seem to be referring to

I think we all know a transfer is realistically the option. Just sucks we won't know who until after spring.

To be fair, we had posters here telling us Robby was the man a few weeks back based off one good pass he threw last season
Just saying

I guess you’re forgetting he was on the team in the fall too? There’s more than just video from 3 practices.

I’m sure you’re not biased at all.

saw some that had significantly more zip than Robby was putting on a ball. I also saw some more touch passes.
Of course you did. That’s why Holden keeps running with the backup and walkon WRs…
And I wish he was splitting time with the 1s, instead of Scooter btw

I know you are new around here so I will let you know a secret. Aligning yourself with Jville on quarterback issues is going to cause you pain

This means very little.
In fact it confirms my guess it will be a portal/transfer QB.

Yep. I was wrong about Harsin.
And so far, I have been correct about Malzahn
But carry on my friend.....

I know its early in spring but whoever comes out on top in the QB spot, I dont think its going to stop us from the portal.
Meta mentioned they may be looking for two, and I ve heard that a few times now on podcasts.
Ideally it would be McCall, the guy fits the system perfectly and he has four years of experience, he would be fine if he enrolled in the fall.
He lacked 31 credits and two semesters to do it, thats like a 35 hour job, its pretty easy to finish out.
Now if they do go for a second QB in the portal with multiple years of eligibility that tells me the entire room is shat.
One thing is certain, when you add in the kids who did not come in early, we are going to be above the limit and Freeze has said he wants a few more from the portal besides QB. between that and the players who did not fish or cut bait we are going to see a lot of people managed out of the system after spring.

Never thought we weren’t going to portal. Never doubted it. Was hoping Holden could find some footing and show some potential is all.

I was trying to figure out what jville was referring to.
I would like to see his explanation.

Probably true.
Friday it was the wind. Monday I'm not sure what the excuse would be for anyone supporting any of the QB's. We can't even run a 7 yard hitch to the outside and 7 yard dig to the inside and complete much more then about 50 percent against air. And those the WRs are leaping, digging balls off the ground, or having to make adjustments to routes to come back to balls
