I thought you didn't want Robby to start? Thought you prefered Holden?

My bad if it was wrong

I’d guess that drill sees regular lineup changes. If anything, the more important observations might be the OL just because those guys need to gel sooner than later

QBs “took a step forward” last week. Freeze says Holden Geriner really stood out and “his grasp of what we’re trying to do” was impressive.

The fact that Hugh said he was impressed with Holden must mean a lot. I think Holden will be the guy if we don’t get a transfer. Athletic QB isn’t necessary for Hugh’s offense work.

Well what do you know..my boy Holden is starting to show himself a bit. Must be doing pretty good for Freeze to mention him by name. I think that's the first time he's done that with any of the QBs?

Also I thought Tate Johnson hurt his elbow and was out? Did they mix him up with someone or is he going through practice anyway?

He was out, just apparently wasn’t done for the whole Spring

Seems like someone mentioned this a couple pages back…. Hmmm

I’ve heard differently that Holden is getting the offense down now some in understanding and is becoming a much better and quicker decision maker. At this point probably behind TJ in running the base offense. With Robby being 3rd at this point.

I heard that about Gus’ offense too. How’d that work out?

Also mentioned that this week the current week will be about getting the WRs indoctrinated into the offense.

CHF mentioned in the presser the same thing. This week it will be about alignment, assignment, and technique.

I don’t care who starts as long as they can win games. I think Holden has all the tools to be a very good QB in Hugh’s system, but he is still a freshman. He has a lot to learn. My only posting around him has been dispelling the silly notion he has abysmal arm strength.

Robbies legs are the only reason he is even in contention for the job

I think the starting QB for next season is on someone else’s roster right now. No clue who that QB might be.

I’m much more concerned about the OL and DL right now. Finding 10 guys at minimum that can play. Then it’s lineback and wide receivers. Gotta find 6 of each that can really give some snaps and execute.

Then I will start worrying about the QBs. I know they are fun to talk about.

February 1st is the deadline for transfers within the SEC to enter their name into the portal to be eligible to play for another SEC school in the fall for fall sports.
