Robby had 3 turnovers, he didn’t play better by any stretch of the imagination and is just further proof we can’t take a single report from practice with any validity.

You say this
But you also say this
So which is it? Do we believe these so called report leaks or not?

I’ve heard differently that Holden is getting the offense down now some in understanding and is becoming a much better and quicker decision maker. At this point probably behind TJ in running the base offense. With Robby being 3rd at this point.
But as someone mentioned Robby’s running may be a difference maker.
This week was all about the QBs development. I think next week will be all about WR development. From my understanding of the base offense the coaches a fairly comfortable with the OL and RBs.

Apparently based on Freezes comments our receiver’s routes are determined by defensive alignment, coverages and techniques. Seems that collectively they aren’t catching on to that as well as he’d like.

Have we moved on from Holden or are you actually trying to argue that he did have three turnovers including a pick 6 yet still played better than anyone else with no other turnovers reported?
Maybe use the slightest bit of objectivity that our beat writer opinions on who played the best is generally shite, which would be why we can’t take their reported opinions on practice as worth anything.

Option routes are definitely a difficult learn. Considering I don’t know if we’ve ever really run an offense that uses them to any significant degree in recent history, I can definitely see the guys struggling with this. Great to hear we are using this though.

So at this point we're hoping for Vandergriff/McCall to enter the scenes as QB?
Posted on 3/27/23 at 8:38 am to HonorThyWarEagle
Vandegriff not an option. He can't transfer to another SEC school.
People like myself hold out hope for McCall based solely on the belief that the world of higher education is a giant bureaucracy and it can be gamed if you get the right "tutors" involved. But there are some saying his academic obstacles are too great. I should probably let it go.

The Duke QB may be in play. A lot of insiders disagreeing with each on whether McCall can graduate before Fall.

If the rumored 33 hours needed to graduate are accurate then it’s definitely possible, the question is can he actually buckle down and get it done. It’s clear he didn’t go to college to play school though.

Could explain why the QBs are having issues as well if they are seeing two different things, but I agree a wonderful tool to have on offense.
Mentioned this before but one of the playoff games Mac Jones walks up to the line of scrimmage and its obvious the blitz is coming. He looks down at DeVonta who turns his head to look at the backers then back at Mac. Ball is snapped and Mac tosses it to DeVonta streaking right past the hole where the backer just vacated for six. What a thing of beauty from an execution standpoint.

Well we arent live so its unfair for Ashford. How many friggin times do we have to hear this.
Fellas, he had three turnovers when it was not live. Guess what when it is live and he can run HE WILL ALSO HAVE 11 GUYS CHASING HIM AND PROBABLY SIX TURNOVERS.
Not being live we are probably seeing the best case scenario for passing for all the QBs and that is what is so scary.
McCall Ive heard 31, 33 credits. For a spring, summer sessions that is very very easy. He gets that done he graduates and there are no academic restrictions. I still think its quiet because he is on a football scholly, what is he supposed to do, announce he is transferring after he graduates and the mob will demand they jerk his scholly now?
Vandergriff, if he challenged I bet he could transfer, someone will do that this summer. The SEC cant pick and chose what rules they want, and most kids in the SEC would want to transfer to, well an SEC school. But he is further behind than any we have on campus now, he hasnt proven anything.
Ya need McCall, a proven winner, plays in a similar system, and knows his path to the NFL is through Auburn

— “We got better last week,” Freeze said of the quarterbacks. Freeze said they added a few period of “base” stuff in terms of how the offense should be ran. “I thought the quarterbacks overall took a step forward.”

Freeze on the QBs. Also mentioned Ashford has a sore shoulder that he’s nursing
Said Connor Lew will be playing in the OL this season

Lanier, GoCrazy and the rest of the thread celebrate because it ain't Robby
Maybe it is time to exit the Robby Bandwagon....

WR Nick Mardner
First team offense per King/247. He noted that the teams should be taken with a somewhat grain of salt as their window is limited and guys are off to the side for variety of reasons, especially small injuries

JD Rhym has been injured, and was in a boot. He’ll miss spring ball. NSIAP

What does the second team look like?

It’s a VIP article so I don’t want to post the whole thing per board rules, but
TJ was QB, Langlo was LT, Lew was C. Otherwise it didn’t really stand out to me
