TJ threw dimes all day. Long, short. Didn't matter. Correct shoulder, perfect placement. Had a nice deep ball to brown. Several tds.

Yes but what will TJ do under pressure, when he has to make decisions? We saw it last year. Turnover machine. TJ may be a practice warrior.
All this. We know the guy that is a gamer on Saturdays, and it isn’t Scooter.

I’d rather taste acid reflux than have to handle TJ being QB again. TJ has thrown several great intermediate strikes but he does a lot of things not well.

I’m hoping he still transfers even if running 1st tm

Any more news on some of the other players and how they looked?

Which is why I was totally surprised that he didnt portal someone in already.
I felt like it should have been up there with offensive line
Agree.
I like what Freeze is doing overall, but this is the o e head scratcher for sure.

You should have seen the back shoulder throw to Cam Brown. They had a one on one corner route with James on defense. called it 4 vs 4. TJ threw a perfect throw and Cam made a great catch in blanket coverage. Team went crazy! Oh wait, you werent there

Okay who should he have gotten?

Exactly. McCall was the only one worth taking.

Agreed Jville. Thats why I think McCall will be here come fall. 31 credits is pretty easy to take in two semesters, its the equiv of a 35 hour work week, easily accomplished.
He comes in the fall, competition again and we have done our best to right the QB room, whether it is him or one of the fellas on campus now. And thats how we roll.
Now lets talk about the rest of the team.

quote:Battie is a legit homerun threat. He is very shifty and has a great burst. He would have taken a few to the house on friday if they didnt blow the whistle. Nick Mardner will also be a threat on the outside. Had issues catching the ball, but his size just leaps out at you. 6'6" and long arms.
Now lets talk about the rest of the team.

A backfield filled with Battie, Jarquez and Alston will be a threat to every run defense they meet
Auburn = RBU.
Auburn = RBU.

They’re expecting Battie to be that dangerous return man in special teams that we haven’t had since Iggy.

Auburn HC Hugh Freeze said WR Camden Brown caught a touchdown and had two other "really nice catches" last Friday
"There was a really nice play on a back-shoulder ball... I think Cam has great potential. Excited about having him for sure... But we have a ways to go (at WR)."

Junior center Tate Johnson and senior receiver Malcolm Johnson Jr. will both miss the rest of spring practice, Hugh Freeze told local reporters Monday afternoon, with elbow and collarbone injuries, respectively.

Sounds like Bucky isn't too happy with his QB's and WR's. One thing that I have noticed about him is he seems to be very forthright. Just tells it like it is. Especially his comment about the Edge. I wonder how many times he has asked himself: How in the hell did this place get so depleted in talent?

I've prepared mentally that we will be a 75% run first team. Just need average qb play
