my first memory of Auburn football was Sully to Beasley. My family was all bama so I watch the games in my room. As a freshman in high school I pretended to be Beasley. As great as Bo is Beasley is hands down the best WR we have had like Bo being the best RB. It's not close. RIP 88

The article I read from 2013 painted Beasley in living hell. How in the world did he last 11 more years?

His autobiography came out in the 90s and even then life was hell for him. He went into painful detail about what he was going through in it. He’s been suffering for 4 decades. I’m glad he’s found peace.

Not many of our games were on Tv back then.

Maybe 3 at most. Tennessee, Georgia, Bama, and a bowl game.

I listened to most of our games growing up with Gary Sanders and Gusty Yearout calling the game on radio 1070 WAPI in Birmingham

Would they watch the Auburn Football Review with you?

Beasley was certainly the best WR in my lifetime from Auburn. On Mount Rushmore for Auburn Football with Sullivan, Bo, and Cam.

hearing my dad and his peers talk about those guys made them just larger than life stars for me as a youngster.

Same here. Hell he is still that to me.

The scene of this freakish athlete getting dragged off the field unconscious just for him to soon re-enter the game is unfathomable.

If he played today I wonder what he could accomplish.

Looked up CTE and it is a very ugly condition that only gets worse. Rest in peace Terry Beasley. You gave Auburn and football your all.

I remember hearing about how bad a shape he was in, back when Pat Sullivan was having his health issues. And that was years and years ago.

Terrible news.

Be at peace and WDE
