He's a click whore like Ron Sanders on 247 IMO. That must be part of their advertising revenue model I would assume.

No he doesn't. I think his roots are Auburn.

He's just pushing his site for as many hits as possible.

He's even said, Pearl isn't going, and wants to stay IHO. But the proccess still goes on if another school wants to reach out.

Now if Pearl decides he wants to interview, that's a whole another issue...

He negatively altered our starting QBs comments to put his comments under heavy scrutiny from others.

I cannot trust his writing again.

Not a fan of Hokanson but I doubt he’s interested in Auburn burning. We tend to do this with any reporter that unravels our security as a fanbase

It would be malpractice for UL not to reach out to Pearl about its vacancy. Pearl will use these offers to hold Auburn’s feet to the fire on the things he wants. Betting Greene and Auburn deliver

Louisville doesn't have a President or an AD and are hemmoraging money. So any coach that takes a job there wouldn't know his boss, or his bosses' boss. From my own professional experience I wouldn't touch that with a 10-foot pole.

We have our own president search and Greene’s on his last year of his original deal with speculation and evidence that he won’t be around for the long term either.

Not to say our situation is worse or as bad as UL’s. I just see a scenario here where there’s also some uncertainty at Auburn on these items you’ve highlighted

We basically do. He is a heavy favorite and the only candidate willing to be there for the “meet the candidates” event.

Yeah, but the key is he is here and has a process in place. I am betting he is getting assurances for salary increases and facilities. Auburn isn't under the NCAA cloud Louisville is at the moment.

I was listening to a former coach still close to the program, but can't remember his name, on Mark Packard's afternoon show, and he was saying there is just a lot of uncertainty on the direction the school is taking because there is none without a president and permanent AD. Said they will be most likely looking for a younger energetic coach that wants to navigate and be patient wading through the rough waters surrounding the program and school.

He said that they all learned something from Mack's 6 game suspension. That the guy who took over Mike Pegues developed a great relationship and then Mack came back and it caused problems in the locker room.

He said the NCAA cloud is still hanging over the program and they don't know what the NCAA's judgement will be. So, I just don't feel it will be an attractive destination for a 62 year old Bruce. I hope he doesn't prove me wrong.

Other schools wanting our coach is a good problem to have.

Agreed, I am not bothered by it. I am just answering the OP in why I don't think we have to worry about Bruce going there.

If this was a Bruce to UNC, Duke, or Kansas discussion - I could get worried.

But Louisville?
- The school in the crosshairs of the NCAA right now?
-The same NCAA that dislikes Bruce?
- The school that had a messy divorce from Petrino and Pitino?

This is not an issue guys.

Calm down.

I've seen your comments on Hoke, and I understand.

This follows a similar way of his writing, bc he has to then react bc he's getting his feeling hurt.

I like his writing, but will have to pause on his 'reporting'.

JBoy has done some of this too, if it is an emotional attachment to him, for some reason.

There’s definitely something to it… I agree it’s unlikely Bruce moves on, but it’s not a 100% certainty he stays.

When it comes to Hoke, keep in mind our beat guys love Pearl… so dont be surprised if some guys start carrying water for him…. This article may be a good example of that.

Hoke recently had a hit campaign against Mane Easy who basically is in the ears of all the players at auburn because some videos he was sent weren't tagged with the author, but Mane only can give a source if he knows the source so those without a source given weren't tagged. Really petty gab imo by Hoke.

Don't get me wrong if it were intentionally stealing that's one thing, but I think the whole thing could've been handled much better by Hoke.

I have made that point early on. It is foolish to think it's 100%. I say 98% Bruce stays.

Real meaningful commitment to BB facility only and then salary concerns need to be met.

Anyone else see this? Reads like the timing of all this is Pearl using Louisville for an extension and raise
