Absolutely not. No one would touch our FB program if we give him the axe. Chizik was different bc he lost the football team in a way that one simply can't recover.
bullshite. Coaches don't care about that. Every coach thinks he is the answer and no coach ANYWHERE is going to turn down $4 mil a year to coach at a big 6 SEC school. No head coach outside of a few select programs like USC/Notre Dame/Texas/OSU/Michigan will turn that down.

As long as Jay Jacobs is our AD then he will make another bad hire. Might as well fire the AD, keep Gus and give him another year to drop the buyout some if we have to.

No.
He is on a warm seat, next year tells the tale. He deserves 4 years and one senior class. Plus I think our Defense is improved next year.

Yes.
The team hasn't quit yet, but I suspect there is a 40something to zero beating to come.
Next year's schedule is beyond brutal, and the play calling looks like they are just pulling ideas out of a hat.

I wish this "cut lashlee loose" party line would disappear. That fixes nothing. We hired Gus because he is an offensive genius. Firing a coordinator who is nothing more than his yes man will not accomplish shite because Gus isn't going to hire someone and let them run the offense. Seriously what would be the point of Gus being here at that point. This is all on Gus and if we don't show improvement next year he is done. End of story.

People want Lashlee fired because they need to see a head roll and that would fulfil it, but also because they feel that Gus needs a foil to generate new ideas on offense. I personally think it wouldn't matter, because Gus is kinda hard headed when it comes to how the O should be run anyway.

Lashlee is wasted space. Gus needs to stop calling the plays

Absolutely not.
He is 2 years from a natty game. Firing him this year would be a disaster for any potential coaching search. He gets another year, but his seat will be warm next season, if not on fire.
Eta: If you don't agree with that reasoning, fine, but it would also be wonderful to actually have a mostly stable coaching staff that doesn't change dramatically every season.

Just to hire another 5-19 coach. No thanks

Financially, it makes zero sense... the buyouts for GM and his assistants would be huge.... probably worse than firing chizik and co., when you consider the money owed to muschamp.
The program needs stability... that's a big part of the reason we've been on such a roller coaster since the end of the tuberville run. We've made our decision... now we have to live with it. If after five years and we haven't seen significant improvement... Then yeah.

Most of us would be happy with a new OC that would help Gus simply to not give away down with obvious plays.
There is zero reason that JJ should touch the ball ever again.

No.
shite happens.
Get more defensive players.
And Gus needs to adjust.

There are deeper problems going on and they start at the top with the athletic department. The solution shouldn't be just to reassign a few people to different positions like what happened in 2012. Some people need to go, starting with Jacobs or else we'll be in this same position in another 3 or 4 years.

If we run him off it will come back to haunt us. For years probably.
