I'd honestly accepted him getting another year, maybe 2. Then all hell broke loose

Well, that's not reasonable.

I’m referring more of the abuse allegations. That’s a HUGE accusation and just seems incredibly convenient that it comes out when he’s not here to defend himself. And what the players are saying absolutely does not back it up

I don’t care if we fire Harsin, but I don’t want it to be for some bullshite that isn’t real. We hired him and if that means we have to pay a buyout to get rid of him then so be it.

The fact that he's even going on vacation is a fireable offense

Lol he was in Mobile at the senior bowl earlier this week
(he even gave quotes from there) trying to help those he abused get multi-million dollar jobs and left after signing day.

Eta: Just about every coach involved in college football is on vacation

Yeah, Roger McCreary needs Bryan Harsin's quotes to get him an NFL gig.

Pretty sure he missed a HS event to be at Mobile, BTW. What seems more important for you?

Yeah the vacation angle is weak as frick. All coaching staffs take their vacation after signing day.

Maybe he just actually cares more about his players than people give him credit for? If Harsin was only in it for himself, no shot he goes all the way to mobile for something that nets him nothing individually.

Are you certain? Or "pretty sure" because you heard from someone that heard from someone?

And there are 9 Auburn players in Mobile at the Senior Bowl. Not just Roger. Borderline guys like Bro Hamm, Tashawn Manning and Nick Brahms. Guys that I'm sure at least some NFL coaches would like to see what their most recent coach had to say about them. That seems kinda important to their future.

Y'all need to get it together on whether he cares about the players or not.

Oh man Chandler just put all those fools on blast. Love it.

This is coming from people that didn’t have the seasons they wanted. Most of the people that left, that’s a good thing for Auburn. That man doesn’t disrespect nobody. If you aren’t doing what it takes to win, he’s going to call you out. When people say he doesn’t care about you, that’s completely false. “Everybody was used to doing what they wanted to do and get away with it. That’s not Bryan Harsin. Those guys push against the grain, that’s how they live and move. Harsin coming in and he’s telling you what to do. That’s the pushback. To say the man doesn’t care, that’s reaching. They know that’s reaching. It’s crazy to see. We know why you are upset. You weren’t playing. What’s the point of you coming out now?

And remember Wooten has no reason to say any of this. He’s on to the NFL.

What High School event did he miss and when? Didn’t the dead period begin Jan 31? Genuinely curious.

Wooten was elevated under Harsin and was made a team captain. He had his best year under Harsin.

Obviously, players who succeeded under him are going to be complementary. There is obviously a contingent who likes Harsin. A guy like TD Moultry who rode the bench his entire career and who started getting a chance under Harsin is also obviously going to be complementary. Same with Shenker.

One thing I'd note: nobody who is still on the team is going to call out the HC, even if they were disgruntled. All of our players haven't even stopped leaving; there are still more who are on the fence.

His "style" works for some players, but a smart leader knows how to adapt.

Zakoby was right around his career avg for tackles this year and Hudson was our leading receiver. So, why did they have disparaging remarks for Harsin?

You're reaching.

Owen Pappoe had his worst year to date (due to injury) and was even quoted by Harsin in the ESPN story. I haven't seen Pappoe come out to refute those remarks either. Until he does so, I have to believe he is good with Harsin as well.

You're making my point for me.

There are guys who had success and who saw the field who still have bad things to say. Zakoby McClain isn't "soft"; he was literally the soul of the defense. That is more concerning that he's coming out and siding with the Smoke Monday's than guys like Chandler Wooten coming to Harsin's defense. These guys: Wooten, Shenker, Moultry are "Harsin's guys" - of course they'll come to his defense.

Corch pointed it out well before: Ja'Varius Johnson was one of the first players praised by Harsin when he came here. He was a starter (when healthy) and would have been a shoe-in starter for next season. Why is he transferring out? He's supposedly going to Ole Miss where he'd have to compete for playing time. Was Johnson a "soft player"? He was seemingly in Harsin's good graces and was a hard worker, by all indication of receiving praise and being put onto the field. So why doesn't he want to be here now?
