The chair here says because the SMU team wasn't at full strength and now they are, they have better quality wins, total bs move imo

Ok, here we go, these are facts…
-blew a 16pt lead in 90 seconds at home vs AM cause he wouldn’t call a TO when they started pressing with 8 mins left.
-Got a technical, with about 2 mins left vs Vandy at home when the game was a 5pt game and benched Hall with 13 mins left in the game.
-Got a technical vs UT in the tournament with about 2-3 mins left when it was a 6 point game.
-Could not get consistent effort out of. team that managed to beat 3 conference champs at different times of the season,
-Had numerous discipline problems among many different members of the team that cost us games.
- Lost at home to OM down the stretch and at Oklahoma both with pitiful performances in the effort column.
That about sums it up

I try to not to speak in absolutes and hope I'm wrong but there is a lot more evidence he's not a good coach than he is. Again, the roster isn't title worthy but a good coach has this team in the tournament. They have wins over several really good teams, so of them in convincing fashion. That shows the roster can compete.
Had we started off terrible then strung together the big wins toward the end of the season and missed the tournament your position would be more palatable. The fact is the team got worse, much worse, over the course of the year. That's largely on the coach. He totally lost two key contributors in Magwood and Hall on a team that was already thin. His body language was awful at times.
I'm not saying it's impossible and I certainly hope he figures it out but what are you seeing that gives you hope it's going to get better?

We were in the tournament until the last few days as all prognosticators had us in. Why Texas and Oklahoma jumped us I have no idea. Why Miami (OH) is in no idea.
When I was saying we are in we were a projected 7 seed. We continued to lose and everything pointed to if we win the first game in the SEC tournament we would be in even after the terrible end of the season. We did that. We finished with the metrics to be in.
I remained under the impression that the committee would stand by their wishes of wanting tough non conference games early in the season. They did not. Why the frick is Texas in and Auburn out?
I would be ok with being out if there were 5-6 1 bid league upsets that threw off all the bubble teams. That didn’t happen. So what do we make of this committee and the disregard of the NET rankings 30-40 this year? That’s why they went to a metric model for the committee. I’m sure they have fricked over other teams before but this year I was paying attention to my team. Still every “expert” would say by the metrics Auburn should be in. But we aren’t.
And for the personal stuff frick off dipshit. I will never pull against my team, never hope they don’t get in.

The shitty fans that hoped we wouldn’t get in so they could gloat and bash the coach. Standup you brave and courageous folk! We all need to hear about how bad this team was and how it was all Steven’s fault. Like we haven’t heard the same shite for 3wks
