I’m biased. Someone tell me why that monster doesn’t get 6-7 touches a game? Maybe 4-5 carries and a delay slip pass or so.

I’m telling you this kid has great hands. He’s just a 4.6 running back. He’s a bowling ball of butcher knives coming down hill

Battie/Jackson/Cobb should be the rotation.

Battie even looks good in a crowd with some push but his speed is elite.

I’ll be the first to admit I didn’t think Battie had a place but he is quick enough and has enough strength to be a great 1-2 punch.

Don’t overestimate RB performance in garbage time. Jackson is coming in fresh and hyped up when the game is out of hand. Just very different from running the ball in the first quarter or late in a close game. That said - he did look like a load.

Tried telling yall before the season Battie wasn’t some gadget running back that he ran power inside zone really good.

Yea I watched his Florida tape and was still skeptical. We’re using him very well. RBs are one of maybe two very deep and talented rooms on our roster haha

I don’t ever remember saying he was a gadget running back.

Point noted. And it’s a fair point. He’s played in some blowouts. I just want to see him in the rotation some. Oh and he’s a willing blocker as well.

I will admit I’m very biased. So just checking if I’m seeing something that isn’t there. I just wish they would go to Sean and say hey we want you to pick up some speed and lose a few pounds because you’re gonna be a true running back. Drop down from 240ish to around 215 and go to work. Dude is a fricking machine on some weights as well obviously. He’s not Jarquez strong but he ain’t far behind

Not you saying he was a gadget back but it was the general consensus he would be like McCalleb. He’s nothing at all like him. He’s just a tiny sized running back that breaks or slips tackles

I would ride with SJ and Battie. The rest just don’t look that great.

No lmao. This reminds me way too much of when people wanted to bench Tank for Hunter last year. If there is one group on this team that doesn’t need fiddling it’s the RBs. They averaged 6+ YPC when the team has 0 passing attack. I’m consistently pleasantly surprised with their yards after contact. This is a good group.

When the defense had to worry about Ashford running, Battie was gashing them on the backside.

Wouldn't shock me if we start seeing him in on short yardage more, especially with Alston getting hurt. He's probably out at least a couple of weeks with that shoulder if not more.
