The people who all pine for Gus are the ones who have some hardon for Rocker. One good year and all the sudden they are the end all be all of coaches

I know BVG was a stud defensive coordinator back in the day, but even he admitted he really struggles against the spread offense and running quarterbacks. Ellis Johnson had that South Carolina defense tough.

I'll clarify. I don't believe I have ever said anything negative about Rocker. I like him and I think his demeanor could be an incredible addition to Gus' staff. He's a no nonsense sort of guy.
However, I argued that he was unproven due to the fact that he inherited a deep, deep unit. However, he developed guys like Blanc and Fairley.
That's pretty much it
