He’s not totally wrong. The top 5 or so recruiting classes tend to be, on average, the programs making the CFP.

Freeze had to start somewhere and the 5-7 range in the SEC is pretty good IMO. Looking toward the future, Auburn is in better shape with this class than Oklahoma and Texas too, which is also important.

All of this and he hasn’t coached a game. Stidham is a giant pussy. There’s no way around that fact, unfortunately. But as he mentioned, Freeze is an elite recruiter. Gotta see how the rest of this class shakes out but this is a good start. We’re already looking good for 25 too

With less commits than every team above us. We will add Carter in a week which will bump us a couple spots nationally. Reminder that compared to the SEC teams ranked above us our avg recruit ranking is much better than LSU, on par/close to A&M, Tennessee, and just barely behind FL. Georgia and bama are the ones that are much higher and that’s not changing any time soon.

Middle of the conference puts you probably still in the top 10 nationally. Everyone with a brain knows you can almost always break recruiting class rankings up into a few different categories:
1-4: Elite of the elite classes
5-10: Very good but usually lacking enough 5 stars to be at the top.
11-15: Solid classes and the difference between 11 and 15 could be one player.
16-20: Noticeable difference from the classes above. Probably more 3 stars than 4 stars in this group.
21+: Give up ever competing for anything of note

That’s because no one has a clue how our NIL actually compares to any other school. There’s a million reasons schools are keeping numbers under wraps.

I’m all for adding more to the collective though. The thing is your average fan isn’t going to be as quick to pull that trigger as a booster. Boosters pay to see results. Fans pay when they see results.
