The Raiders' new kicker is rookie Daniel Carlson, per source. Vikings drafted him in fifth round before waiving him earlier in season.

He better improve from his last game.
He's a great kicker. Not sure what happened. Nerves?

I hope he is over the yips and gets back on track.

Assuming the skillset, mechanics, leg strength, etc. is there, kicking is almost ALL mental. Sooner or later, they all implode.

Unless you pay for the Patriots. How did they have Vinatieri and follow him up immediately with Gostkowski?

Carlson didn’t deserve to be cut the first time but because it’s only his rookie year, he probably didn’t get the benefit of the doubt. That and Zimmer is just a dick.

Every team in the NFL would have cut their rookie kicker under those circumstances

The same weekend that D. Carlson lost his job, we lost to LSU and it's been downhill ever since.
Now that Carlson has a job again, AU gets back on track and runs the table, right?

Kickers have bad days too. Not sure that every team would. Last year the Chargers literally had a carousel of inexperienced kickers afforded opportunity after opportunity.
