Fully agree.

I really think they already have their man.

My money is on Dan Lanning.

Not hiring Steele was still the right call. They just followed it up with the wrong guy.

On paper Harsin looked like a very good hire. He was a smooth dude I’m sure he interviewed well. As I’ve continued to say he is probably a good X’s and O’s Coach as well but in the south especially the southeast relationships are everything and he didn’t understand that and wasn’t going to change. He tried faking it through the spring but it popped its head back up in summer and fall.

Why do you think Coach Lac is going just the opposite in the relationship game. He ain’t no dummy

Not saying you are wrong but I want Prime but I think it will be Freeze. I’ve said that since day 1.

Ain’t it weird tho Prime has almost disappeared from the conversation maybe that’s a good thing and bam coach Prime it is

Freeze doesn’t fit the creed so no alignment there.

Prime (who I want as well) doesn’t have enough HC experience.

Lanning has everything the Dye Hard (especially Ga boys) guys want.
He is also super young and energetic so it makes sense long term.

I agree. Of the “non splash” guys we could hire, he probably excites me the most

Maybe you are right with Lanning. I would put Lanning and Grimes sorta in the same bucket unknown. Dude has a QB playing like a top 3 QB in the country makes it much easier to win.

I agree Prime is also unknown but has the highest ceiling. But could crash and burn the hardest as well

I’m blown away with what he has done in his very short career after being a GA @ Bama.

We've all seen the QB make the coach. I'm not ready to crown Heupel the next great coach because of his QB. Let's see what happens over 4 yrs.

I really wish Coach Lac had some HC experience and was a viable option

All I know is there is a very different attitude coming from AU in general this hire. They ain’t pussyfooting around it seems. We may end up with a shite hire but optic now is like the dude in the gym with the biggest dick walking around the locker room naked.

Against butter soft Pac 12 defenses. When they faced a tough defense they were boatraced…..and Lanning should have been prepared for that game, hell he had intimate knowledge of that program and their schemes.

Watch all the Lane crowd wilt when he gets blown out tomorrow.

Their schedule is awful and LSU bludgeoned em. We were dealing em fits til the onside kick he pulled.

Heupel reminds me of 2013ish Malzahn.

Will he crash and burn or sustain? The jury is still out on him.

Lac isn’t an option hell
He could win out and wouldn’t be an option. He’s doing exactly what we need. If not retained by the next staff I hope we work with him to have him a job and help him find a place to
Land on his feet. Heck he may get a shot at a lower level just by this experience.

T-Will would make much more sense then Caddy

Doesn’t matter. He has shown he can actually run a program at an optimal level in year one.

He was also the best recruiter and best DC Kirby has had.

And that is the only qualifier we have to see how a Lanning coached team handles quality opponents.
