I appreciate your positive statement and I agree with you in the fact that Auburn needs what Cadillac has injected. He loves Auburn and I would hope that the new coach would give him a shot.
Sorry if I came off in a different way. I am just a realist to a fault sometimes.

Harsin would have lost that game so while things right now are not great at Auburn last night was a helluva lot better than it could have been.

Harsin stole from Auburn and gave NOTHING back
We've all heard of cancers on teams. Lets be happy that we've cut the Harsinogen out of ours.

With relation to Gus.. yes a few good years but the position he left us in with recruiting and the complacency is what I am referring to.
My goodness, I stated we beat a weak A&M.
You guys keep those negative waves to yourselves. Your attitude is what needs changing.
Those kids had fun last night, the coaches.. had fun...the fans... first time is a few years and you can't take it away.
You negative dudes stay the hell home!
This 100%.
Lets just enjoy last night for what it was. The silver lining to being 4-6 is that there's (almost) no place to go but up and it comes with no pressure expectations so we're free to enjoy the good times as they happen.
I've been wondering if back in 2004, would Caddy have ever seen himself as a HC and getting his first HC win against an SEC opponent in Jordan-Hare.

Exactly
Gus frustrated us many times but he doesn’t deserve to be named with potato boy. Not even close really. He was stubborn and lacking in a couple of areas but he effort was there.
I do get what op is saying and agree though. It was nice seeing the guys in uniform having fun fighting for their team. Sure, we are still bad and Bama is going to destroy us but we are no longer dead in the water with no emotion. Major props to Caddy for reminding everyone in a terrible year that it’s still worth fighting for and to not quit.

I did chuckle at your statement. There is a documentary on the Steelers, Rocky Bleier said Chuck Noll had just gotten there and Rocky was on the sidelines cheering and yelling....Noll looks at him and says knock that rah rah shat off, it only works for 15 minutes. Its your skills and your preparation in practice that matter.
He said it retrospect he was right, when we made it to the superbowl a few years later there were only 7 of us left from when Noll got there....and we were a lot better.
Hopefully we will get better quicker
