Definitely can't argue with that

ETA: It annoys me that their headlining picture is of Nick Fairley who doesn't have anything to do with the article.

To be honest I don't think much of it being true. It sounds like a kid and family trying to get a story out there before the trial to garner favor from those who might be on the jury. His uncle says Auburn threw Mike to the curb and shut him and the family off to keep him silent about the true Auburn secret. Wut?

Why the hell would Auburn treat someone shitty if they wanted them to remain quiet. Mike Blanc who was Mike's friend and blaming his no pro career on the coaches. Sounds like more sour grapes and trying to help Mike anyway they can before trial.

My favorite quote
quote:

“We were targeted by police,” says Antoine Carter, Auburn’s former star defensive end. “You’d get harassed. They would pull you over for nothing as a way to keep track of you.” McNeil remembers turning right on red, a legal move, but finding police lights behind him. He says police drew their guns on him over a traffic stop.

Seems legit

Is he talking about the cops drawing guns on him when the car was stopped after the robbing?

Sadly, no. He's talking about turning right on a street like South College and cops pulling him over and aiming guns at him. This article has to be the most unprofessional POS I've ever read. It's pretty clear that 90% of is it untrue or exasperated.

What they wore was under inspection and how they styled their hair was a bone of contention. “When the new coaches came in under Chizik, they implemented new rules and it was kind of no tolerance, but it always seemed to be aimed at the black guys,” says Blanc. “Chizik didn’t like tattoos and he didn’t like dreads.” Players say Chizik asked them to cut their dreadlocks, part of an ongoing culture war within the program – and outside of it.
I already pointed this out in the original thread, but this is complete BS.

Can anyone remember a player that shaved their dreads at Auburn since 2009? I've already pointed out those that have them, had them since they got on campus, or grew them out while on campus, but can't think of any player all of sudden chopped off his dreads.

ETA: Jack Ricks - Sept 2009

What I want to know is why he let them draw on him and if they used a magic marker or sharpie?

That article has the same amount of credibility as the crackhead sitting behind the Circle K on Wire Road.

Unfortunately, Alabama fans have learned to read, yet they still haven't figured out how to actually think through the things they read. This ability will come over time, hopefully. Fourth grade is tough damnit!

@JHokanson: While Selena Roberts is lauding Mike Blanc for his courage, Blanc is ripping Roberts and denying his quotes in her report. Interesting.
