I’m not sure it matters what bracket we are in the way they are playing right now.
Would you say we’ve played poorly?

For those interested, Lunardi posted an update that still had us #1 overall. Said there is a small chance the committee could drop us from #1 but said it’s highly doubtful they actually do.
Dropping Auburn would send the completely opposite message the committee has been sending for years, which is that they reward people who play a tough schedule. For reference Duke has a very similar resume to St John’s in both SOS and quad records.

The only game I would say that we played poorly in was A&M. The others we played solid but were just a shot or two away from beating two elite teams. Definitely didn’t play our best by any means, but wouldn’t say that we were bad.
More concerned with the guys psyche after two tough losses so close together heading into the tournament than our actual play on the court.
ETA: I think it’s a bit dramatic to say our seeding/matchups don’t matter after losing two very close games against teams that we wouldn’t see until the FF or NC.

Fair. Seems like the two games I watched the final 8 mins of , Tenn and Bama, they could have won just by making most of their free throws late in the game. They have certainly played tough teams

Well we have two get right games and advancing to the sweet 16 alone and nobody would still be thinking about those other games going into Atlanta

Maybe the rest will do some good.
I know Chaney and Pettiford have played better.
We will need bench points.

These bracket predictors are always 100% wrong 100% of the time.
I saw one where Auburn was in a bracket with 3 other SEC teams and Florida was in a bracket with no SEC teams.
The bracket predictors never learn.
The committee wants to create interesting matchups. Not repeat matchups.

It’s going to be interesting with so many SEC teams in this year

I feel pretty good about any of the 8/9’s we could see

We got the number one overall. Our reward is Louisville in Lexington, KY

#1 overall
Some duke fans on twitter will be in shock when they really shouldn’t be

That’s if they beat creighton. And I might would rather play Louisville. If we go against creighton Kalkbrenner could shut Broome down and then we would be completely reliant on our guards

I don’t think the get by Creighton honestly after thinking about it. For the reason you said. Louisville doesn’t have the bigs to stop Kalkbrenner.
