Can you give a source on the Brock Vandagriff stuff though? I looked around on twitter and UGA boards and didn’t see anything

I don't see it being advantageous for Auburn.

He has zero experience, so with Geriner we would have 2 very young inexperienced QBs fighting with Finley for spots.

We definitely need an experienced transfer QB...

Locked on Auburn guys talked about it this morning. He's not in the portal yet, so you wouldn't see it anywhere.

It's a numbers thing. You bring in all the top rated guys you can get, and the odds are better at least one is going to be good/elite.

It’s advantageous to our program. He just might not be an impact player right off the bat.

Brock Vandagriff

what a name. seems like an athletic kid who has a lot of potential. having him compete with Geriner could be great in the long run, but i'd rather have a guy with some experience that Geriner can sit behind for a year. just my preference, though. either one of them will be an upgrade over Finley.

also here's a nugget from his 247 profile:
COMPARISON
Jarrett Stidham
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Bringing in more talent to compete for a spot is always advantageous.

If we bring in a shitty experienced QB, doesn’t do us much good either.

Isn't his mom an Auburn alum or something?

You need to start a thread on the rant inquiring about the progress of BVG. Be vague about the reason.

How many QBs do we currently have on roster, I mean are we dropping some to cover a new transfer?

Dematrius Davis
T.J. Finley
Trey Lindsey
Grant Loy?
Sawyer Pate

I agree with that.

I’m just trying to see all the moving parts.

Would he come and want to compete w a Geriner?
If he was a stud why didn’t Ga push him this year or for sure this upcoming season?
If we are giving a pass on the next year and willing to allow high level young talent to compete for 2023 I’m ok with that.
But I want if we can get it a good quality transfer QB to step in as a bridge not Geriner/vandergraff.
