Just reading through all the message boards, it sounds like Freeze was told not to relive another Thorne situation. Spend the cash and find a real QB or find another job.

I mean, this has pretty much been Hugh’s plan all along.
I guess our fans just didn’t want to believe him when he said exactly how he planned to rebuild the roster.

Huge stated last cycle he wasn't bringing in a transfer QB because he didn't want to do Thorne, Holden etc a disservice.

He has also said he didn’t want to spend a huge portion of NIL on a big transfer QB until our roster was ready for it.

As I said somewhere in this thread, Arnold has all the tools to really succeed in this offense. I don’t know what to make of this year for OU. Basically had no QB coach half the year, OC fired after like 4 weeks. OL decimated, WR room gone. Who knows. Potential is there though. Hopefully a change of scenery puts it all together for him.

We aren’t done at QB. I don’t think we are just going to get anyone either. Think the staff wants someone who can legit compete for the starting spot.

Other fans are shitting on him about INTs. But that wasn't his problem. He would try and extend plays by running and would fumble. Huge will show him how to slide. Brent is just a dumbass
