What is the rule of the portal? We have to secure our team within 15 days or the players are only allowed to enter within the next 15 days?

Have to put name in by Jan 16th. Can take as long as they want to decide. I imagine most offers will be contingent on getting into school by school's deadline to start classes (early feb) and do spring practice activities

Name in by the end of portal if you want to transfer this year

Auburn’s last day to add/drop is sooner, though. So kids need to get moving soon if they intent to stay on scholarship for spring

Some of these kids might not necessarily worry about that cost now, which is interesting

And 6’1 205 is tiny. Maybe looking at a safety spot?

Xavier Atkins 6’ and 210 lbs

Owen Pappoe was 6’1 and 210

Zakoby McClain was 6’ and 205

He’s fine

I believe as long as your name is in the portal by the deadline, you can choose to wait as long as you'd like (as long as its before the end of enrollment period for the school) to committ to the school.
Also, enrolling IS the commitment. Anything else is just a handshake

I thought linebacker was one of the few positions where we’re ok?

LBs these days are more athletic than big like Josh Bynes was. It is a change I have seen at every level.

from Howard to The SEC? seems like a big jump

Ole Miss has a LB that transferred from Grambling State and was wrecking shop last night. Dude was on the Butkus Award preseason watch list too.

Fair enough. Even at like 6’ 230, don’t they call Bynes small in the NFL and not draft him because of measurables? We had some linebacker that was a really smart guy an he didn’t get drafted due to measurables.

Josh Bynes was not small; he came in at nearly 6'2 240 at the Combine. His issue was that he was pretty slow (4.81 forty) and had really short arms. He still ended up playing like 11 seasons in the NFL.

That type of pure MLB doesn't exist as much anymore.

Our boy looks like he may be hooking up with Dan Mullen at UNLV!

What's the deal with Kaleb Harris.

He made all freshman lists and disappeared

Ike from TWR is also saying that USF hasn't processed the paperwork on any of their guys yet, but they expect ~8-10 guys to visit Auburn once that happens. He also indicated that Byrum Brown is rumored to go into the Portal with a 'Do Not Contact' tag.
