Everyone wondered how Freeze recruited so well with no results…It was because he was willing to overpay for stars. He was notorious for lazy practice environments as well. These guys knew they could come here for a few years and make a ton of money for nothing. I’m sure they had hopes of winning but money was priority #1 for the vast majority of these guys. That is the primary reason why we have continued to find ways to lose games

I guarantee very few, if any of these guys in the portal will end up at a program like Georgia, a place where they are paid on performance and will have to work their asses off.

The change in NIL structure followed by the phrase "growing pains" tells me all I need to know.

It means that we have a highly overpaid roster filled with players who were "splash" signings made to win optics points for Freeze, many of whom have done literally nothing on the field. If you follow this team at all then you should have known this was the case even before Freeze was fired. Most of Freeze's biggest recruiting "wins" were players that he stole from rival teams: Perry Thompson (Bama), Damarcus Riddick (UGA), Jamonta Waller (Florida), Joe Phillips (UGA), etc.

All you have learned is that the new coach is going to first cull the roster of nonsense NIL deals, which is what any new coach should be doing regardless. This is even more important when the prior coach was just a mindless "flash recruiter" (Freeze) who was paying a premium in order to make it look like he was building something. Auburn's roster has considerably more waste than most programs.

Brad Law wants USF players to fill at least 25% of our roster. lol

I know where Brad Law and meta are getting their paychecks.

Amaris Williams now says he's going in the portal. Kinda odd since I heard he stated he was staying on just a few days ago.

Whoa do you kiss your mom with that mouth lil fella?

Ask your source on staff to let you share with us what's been offered since apparently you do know. No one said their plan was to try and recruit 2/3*. That's just what this plan is going to leave them with.

I'm more concerned we haven't gotten a single player to transfer in, that's shocking. It is like the staff isn't even trying.

Behind Faulk and Williams are Jared and Darrion Smith

At Edge we have JJ Faulk. Does Murray have any eligibility left? We also have signee Jarquez Wilkes,

Is this sarcasm somehow? The portal isn’t even open, players are just stating their intent to enter the portal (NIL negotiations). Teams aren’t officially allowed to make contact/offer until 2 January.

Like I said.. going cheap.

We we're supposed to be returning most of the defense and instead we are now trying to replace most of it.

And if any of these guys return? We still going cheap? Fairly certain Amaris entered the portal before last season too, didn't he? Can we at least wait and see who we bring in before having a come apart? Why fret twice?
