Well that's stupid. I've met many an intellectually disabled and they're not retarded. How do you they think feel since you group labeled them.

I had to chuckle at the original post. We have a guy who has Autism/Down's but can operate on his own. He plays on our church softball team & I have heard him call "intellectually disabled" folks screwing up who aren't retarded...he keeps calling them a retard when they do something stupid... He can be savage & you better not have thin skin around him.

If I know anything, it’s that the people in this thread know all the nuances between retard / disabled / downs/ and autism

We had a married couple with cerebral palsy, you may of thought not too smart, but no he had a job and drove and she was mom to a couple of normal children. They were extremely nice just different. Took them a little longer to get in and out of church.

I thought retarded had become special needs....

Lets do a quick review....

Malik Blockton was fourth on the DL in tackles, we play four on the DL so that would be fourth out of four for a team that is 5 and 7.

He had half the tackles of Bobby Jamison Travis who was playing some nose and should have far less than the DT position.

Take away the emotions fellas, its a business, we can replace this productivity rather easily in the portal.

Once the portal opens we will find a better talent, he will "grace us" with the thought of returning when he realizes his worth on the open market......and we can say thanks but no thanks.

And I thought I was the only one

I think we have to wait til the portal actually opens to see what our coaches are working on. We hear the defectors now but probably wont hear the good news til then.

Well then dont ever try to recruit highly prized DL and OL recruits because youre not going to see results born over night. Woodward made the SEC all PFF team as a senior even though he barely saw the field the previous three years and I am sure he was a top 160 recruit in the country. Glad we didnt ditch him after we developed him. Tell Bama or Georgia or Miami youre welcome!

Funny story. At Pepsi we had these "reduction in force" shat every 4-5 years. This particular one the VP of personnel came down to deliver the walking papers to the employees. Has security in the conference room with himself, myself and the employees I was letting go (I had already told them, they did nothing wrong, just cutting costs).

So I had this merchandiser, been with us six months, the HR guy is calling him Donald, and the kid is not paying attention, I said his name is Rocky. Rocky starts crying cause this guy is acting like a pretentious arse. He says thats it, you have any questions...Rocky. Rocky says "whats, whats, sever, that severance thing". Guy says Rocky we are gonna give you six weeks pay, your check is outside. Rocky stops crying jumps up and yells "NO shite".

I yelled after him Rocky dont you spend all that money on your car. I wont boss I wont.

My point is fellas, the ones leaving are replaceable and the staff probably has an idea of who to replace them with already, at least the potentials.

I’ve been trying to follow the path that Jones paved before me, and I missed.

Did Rocky think they were going to not only fire him but cut his head off too?
