Blithering idiots auyusuu and burrowtiger,

please pinpoint the info that gleans we either wanted to cut Chaplin's paycheck or refused a raise.

Good luck.

Sources indicate Xavier Chaplin was a player Auburn wanted to retain and was willing to pay competitively to keep. For whatever reason, Chaplin has been difficult to reach and hasn’t been communicating with the new staff.

Context: Sometimes players go MIA while deciding their next move or entertaining other offers. Unfortunately, this isn't all that uncommon.

Chaplin notified the staff of his intentions shortly before announcing today that he plans to enter the transfer portal. This doesn’t appear to be about Auburn or anything Auburn did, but simply a decision Chaplin made.

dont care if we have to do that or not. It's roster management. If you can't handle business dont pay attention to it.

So you are just complaining to complain and be a troll and start fights. Got it. You certainly have become whiny as hell since the coaching change. Might as well call you Scoper junior going forward.

You struggle with conversation. Got it.

To your question: IDGAF.

When are you going to worry less about "overpaying" and more about our roster you moron. We are gonna have to overpay for all talent. We have like 60 scholarship players and talent attrition already on the rise.

at you calling anyone else a moron. Particularly when you lack the reading comprehension to see that I already posted I really don't care what we pay players as long as they make our team better and we win. You are literally having a strawman argument with yourself.

Nobody believes you after you admitted to badgering me with some nonsensical question about Chaplin earning a raise.

Pay competitively =/= raise. You're speculating just as much as they are.

You just want this to look as bad as possible for Auburn for whatever reason.

To the contrary. Having a disappointing season last year doesn't mean he will have a bad season next season next year. Let me know how many prospects we can land that are better than him.

I didn't say anything about a raise. The market determines if he gets a raise. Still, the ghoulish Harsin bros creaming themselves though.

Just let me know what color jersey to pull for next season. Keeping track of players is futile.

Seems to be normal to turn over half the roster every season

I’m assuming we will have about a top 12-15ish roster regardless of who comes and goes because we are willing to spend around that area.

I know we will never know why, but I wish we knew Chaplins reason. Him flaking on his employer and not communicating his departure seems like he wants a new but feels guilty for it. Im sure I'm giving him too much credit. I like to think these guys appreciate more than the paycheck from the school

On top of that

Golesh was 1-7 against teams with a winning record.

If I have to guess, he had a bad time last season and wants a fresh start somewhere else.

Sure thing Scoper Jr. Your downvote ratios throughout this thread make it pretty clear who people believe and who they think have dumb takes. And no, I haven't downvoted you a single time.

But by all means continue your trolling and your wailing and gnashing of teeth. I'll wait until the end of the portal deadline to see what our roster looks like. And as Corch said, our roster should be pretty solid in the end based on the money we are spending, regardless of who leaves.

And more importantly I'll wait till the middle of next season to make any judgements about our team and new coaching staff.

Maybe early on at USF, but he beat 3 teams with a winning record this year alone.
