Bottom line is, we all saw Throne get run down against thUGA when he had a 15-20 yard head start on their players. So yes, the 4.7-4.8 range is probably correct.

List all JJ runs against shite Georgia

Payton Thorne had as many rushing yards on one carry against the number one team in the nation that JJ had in total passing yards against Georgia in 2015.

And you want to talk about Thorne.

I'm really starting to worry about you.

I'll give you the love affair you have with Robby, it's a little bizarre but whatever.

But to compare JJ's elusiveness with Thorne's and actually believe JJ is better.

Well go find another page. Bunch of crybabies. If I want to talk to Jville, I will, and that is how it will be.

Auburn unofficial times are couple deviations off. We can put JJ down for 4.8 now.

Thorne is faster than 4.73. You can see that. link it
My guess is that 4.7 is pretty accurate for them both. There's a lot more to running the ball than a 40 time. Thorne is actually relatively quick and a particularly good runner for how fast he is. You can see it in the way he runs vs. Ashford.

Thorne tends to set up blocks and read blocks pretty well. He then makes a decisive cut and lives with it, getting whatever he can. That decisiveness helps him a lot. On the other hand Ashford often tries to bounce plays and use his raw speed. That worked in HS I'm sure, but against faster defenses it results in no gain or a loss when a decisive cut could net him a handful of yards at worst and with a broken tackle a decent gain.

I went and watched LSU/AU from JJ's time. He had a really long run in that game and is definitely equally fast to Thorne, but less quick than Thorne and slower at making decisions/decisive cuts.

I dont know why people keep talking about this run. He had like 12 carries for 41 yards that day and that run occurred in garbage time after Johnson already embarrassed Auburn to the point of Lashlee having to yell at Johnson telling him to take his glove off. Johnson did not play with speed. His speed was a nonfactor.

Thorne 5x'd his rushing yards as well. Those are facts. Johnson was also not a 4.7 runner and that is me telling you that.

QB DJ Uiaglelei (Oregon State)

Why would this guy enter the portal? He is in a good position right now after transferring once. What are the implications for him transferring again?

It looks like teams are going to be doing a complete rebuild every year with starters and depth with the new NIL/Transfer system. What a complete cluster frick of a mess that has been created

Yep. He got that Dr. Pepper money at Clemson when NIL first kicked off and he's been chasing it since then.

Oregon State had no landing spot for a new league. They and WSU are in the wilderness.

He wants exposure for the nfl draft. Sure money plays a part but what player worth a damn would stay at either of those schools?

Whoever said JJ was more elusive? He ran timid, straight up, and had no cutting ability. I was just correcting the person that said Throne was twice as fast as JJ, which is false. JJ was in fact faster.

No one said that. They said Thorne was twice as mobile

JJ rushing stats - 210 yards 9 tds
Thorne rushing stats - 790 rushing yards 10 tds

Thats fricking more than twice as mobile

He's in an odd situation with the PAC 12 dissolving. He would have stayed if the conference still presented marquee games but who knows what the situation will be. OSU and WSU merging with the mountain west seems likely, a big step down in exposure for a guy hoping to get some NFL interest.

How long do we think this NIL experiment will last given the astronomical amount of money some of these kids get? Not to ,mention when the women’s athletes drag Title IX into it. Plus all the upheaval with conferences and players. It doesn’t seem to be a sustainable thing to me.

The offense also put up 250 plus against Georgia and Bama. Agreed with you sir. He would have close to 78% completion rate if not for drops, crappy routes, holding and jumping off sides.
Played harder than anyone else on the field!
