Id think Casey Thompson would be a grad transfer?

I saw some guy in the portal and he was a grad transfer and had only been in school three years, must not be focusing on the important things in school

He grad transferred to Nebraska so maybe now he’s taking his one time use. He has one more year of eligibility for Covid - it’ll be his 6th season.

He already got his masters from Nebraska so I wonder what the academic requirements would be for him to play in the fall.

I think its also a statement oh how well Jason Jones and Justin Rogers did in the spring. The plan seems to have them both on the field at the same time. MBaa still should have gotten plenty of reps, so kind of weird.

One thing nobody mentions is that it isn't just whether or not a player has potential, but the amount of NIL we pay them also factors in. If they are getting starter NIL money, then they better be a clear starter. Guys who were coveted recruits or transfers and didn't rise to the level of expectation are probably getting processed or having their NIL reworked to reflect their impact on the team.

They all play different positions though. Jones NT, Rogers DT, and M’ba DE. I think M’ba didn’t like the move to DE and wants to play inside more.

M’ba was 3rd string. At the 5 tech or SDE.

Harris Walker M’ba. So one was going to go either Walker or M’ba whoever finished in the 3rd spot.

I don’t like Jones and Rogers on the field at the same time. It sounds great to have all that run stopping size but there isn’t enough quickness and burst to disrupt running lanes. You’re just putting guys out there that are space eaters and our linebackers aren’t good enough to dominate the run gaps. You need players at DT that can play across the face of the OL, get penetration, and make some tackles. My prediction is Rogers moves back to NT and is the starter backed up by Jones.

This is a very good point. I can’t imagine what a task it must be to manage NIL allocations for the entire team. And just like the workplace, you know they are all talking with each other about how much they make.
