Syracuse played good football this year. Ranked for the first time since McNabb

It's Vandy that is hard to recruit to. He's a great salesman and has Bruce Pearl type energy the kids love to play for.

He makes good halftime adjustments and hardly ever gets blown out with Vandy talent.

Good Christian man like the boosters want. Loves to connect with the fans and the people.

We could do worse, but Mason wouldn’t be an upgrade.

He also did pretty good at Bowling Green given what he was working with. I agree Babers isn't familiar with the south and recruiting, but that's what assistants as are. Keep Garner, T Will, Porter, Burns, Porter, and maybe Brown. Let him hire whoever he wants for OC and DC.

Also don't forget the new AD played baseball at Notre Dame.. not saying it means anything, but he's probably more open to hiring someone a little less familiar with the south.

Yep, with the right assistants he could be a good coach.

He won 9 games this year, almost 11. Only lost to ranked teams. Has Syracuse ranked for the first time since McNabb. Has had high powered offenses everywhere he's been. Almost upset Clemson, granted they were missing Lawrence. Like I said, there are better hires to be made but I def think he's a more inspiring hire than Derek Mason. Who would you suggest that would be better than Babers?

As a HC I’m impressed with what he’s done. That being said I’d be very concerned with who he’d bring in to run the offense.

I’d take Mason in a heartbeat. He does a lot with the little talent and facilities he has.

Our millennial fans don't understand.

To them, the grass is always greener elsewhere and everything they have sucks.
