I like your list Jonesy, add one more you mentioned before.....

quote:

Holmes Community College offensive tackle Markel Bell tells Jeffrey Lee of Auburn Live that he will officially visit Auburn’s campus during the weekend of May 12-14.

The forthcoming visit is important because it could lead to a quick commitment, as Freeze hopes to sign Bell and move him in by the end of the month.

“I might do it,” Bell tells Lee. “It’s definitely a possibility. I’m finishing up my last semester (at Holmes Community College), and I’m a qualifier so I can come out this summer. I was going to decide in July, but Auburn is talking about me coming in (May).”

According to Bell, Auburn is at the top of his list. So, if the visit goes well, expect Bell to commit to the Tigers next weekend.

6 foot 8 or 9 and 340 or 350 (I guess the difference is if they weighted him before or after breakfast)

Just like the time I told you guys what was going on with Harsin but nah; evil PTB was just making things up because they didn't like that he was an Alpha dawg .

Oh yeah, and Corn was fired cuz the WR's didn't know what they were doing .

Most of you think of yourselves as lone wolves in your popular/common message board stances

Except jville. He’s usually alone

I said this July 1st, 2022 in a thread full of betas saying Harsin was fine it was the fanbase that wasnt.

quote:

Harscuses guy:

“Harsin and Saban had similar first years. Give Harsin some time!!!”

Jang: As if failing miserably in the first year could possibly be a sign of greatness ahead. The difference is Saban actually recruited well and knew how to fix the team.

Hardashians:
“We aren’t Bama. Get used to it!”

Jang: we have 2 commitments in July. Can we at least be an Arkansas?

Haskin’shumpers: Not until he removes the wheat from the shaft. He is the chemo
killing devil cells left behind by Gus

Jang: So, at the end of the day, what should our expectations be?

Bryan’s boogers In UNISON:

8-5

And yes, Meta was right there with me as well.

Your post wasn't quoting anyone, so I have no idea who you were or weren't responding to.

If you want to play that narrative; Saban had won a National Title in this very conference just two years prior - so no, I don't believe that Auburn fans would be "calling for his head" over a 7-6 season where recruiting was booming. It's an incredibly silly narrative to try to paint. That Alabama team that Saban coached to a 7-6 season was also worse than the Auburn team that Harsin went 6-7 with. They had John Parker Wilson at QB.

Lions usually do walk alone. While sheep fall in line. Maybe you’ll understand after you hit puberty and your balls drop.

Totally agree. We need him to stay and see if he can develop. He could still be the guy this year before its over and done with.

I like Geriner and I’m guessing he’s not in a hurry to run off. At the same time, after next season, he’s going to have 3 QBs on the Roster that Freeze picked in Thorne, Brown, and White. He might not be behind all of them but that’s a transfer candidate if I’ve ever seen one

Just the way it is nowadays

Something to monitor, 247 doesn’t expect Keon Coleman to visit this weekend.

They didn’t say it, but FSU may have gone all in on NIL

I don’t love these JUCO OL nowadays. Honestly, with the transfer portal, I see less and less need to recruit them. There’s a lot less guys going that route

He might be near the end of my exception but my interest is low I think

I support your comments 90+% of the time, Meta, but I can’t here.

Hell, I’m not even Team Ashford and even I can see he was likely the better choice to get as many 2023 wins as possible (and that likely wouldn’t have been many) over the other candidates in the pre-Thorne QB room.

I’m happy as frick now that we have a situation where neither of us can be proved wrong or right. I was BEGGING for a competent vet transfer in prior to the season and thank goodness it happened.

Normally I don't think we would go JUCO, but we need a couple of OL bodies and this portal window was pretty bare, so gotta take what you can get.

Ashford wasn’t going to be the starter before Thorne, he certainly won’t be now.
