I haven't heard anything updated. Think they're entering the portal monday.

Is this a d-lineman already on their team or one they just signed?

Was referring to Jacobs not Edwards. It’s good to have options on OL finally. Seems like Maddox from MS is really high on Auburn.

Caleb Cunningham really enjoyed his visit said the Derrick Nix hire helps Auburn a lot.

Also seems like Hugh is using the lack of portal recruiting as a tool in high school recruiting told Williams the CB from Buford that he is about culture and doesn’t like going out in the portal to replace players.

No kidding on the OL, and to your point we really seem to be in on and actually trying to choose from some really good options versus previous years/decade.

Maddox, Pink knows his linemen and he "gushes" over this kid. Would be the cherry on the top of an awesome looking DL class for 25, to go with 24. And Zion Grady also seems to be liking us good guys a little these days.

Well there was not that long ago. Jeffrey Lee had it pinned at one time and most know about the policy. If you’re real new and it wasn’t pinned you may want to reach out and express you didn’t know there policy.

Yep I saw it also.

Hopefully that strategy works better for him than it is for Dabo.

Yeah, I don’t think any HC likes using the portal. But it is a necessary tool in this day and age of college football. Even the richest of talent schools like thUGA are going for the best players in the portal.

Dabo has taken like 3 transfers total in 3 years. Freeze has 9 so far for this class alone

Here here Jonesy.

Seems to me he is picking up people we need in the portal just fine. Some good receivers to fill in til the new fellas get their legs later in the season, same with a LB. A very nice pickup in Left OT,safety and Corner. Defensive line are fillers, and we could use a couple of better quality DTs but can easily pick those up after the spring, its not crucial they go through spring.

Rest easy fellas, rest easy.

The better quality players usually don’t hit the portal after spring.

Right now the nickname for our interior DL is "the chunnel" it wont be too difficult to find "better quality".

More importantly we'll know who needs replacing, what holes haven't been plugged, and which spots seem ok.

There's lots of untested parts in this type of mechanics.

The Boosters and NIL collectives of the Ohio State Buckeyes have reportedly spent $13 million in NIL money to retain and/or add elite players to their 2024 roster, according to CFB Focus.

This $13 million number is what they’ve spent at this point. They are still looking to add Alabama Crimson Tide transfer defensive back Caleb Downs. They are also looking to a couple more offensive linemen.

Told yall a month or so ago to be Top 15 in recruiting you have to spend about $10m a year. To move into that Top 5 you have to spend between $13m-$15m

So looks like we aren't getting RW or Kiffin as DC?

Idk. If RW wants it to be a surprise he will commit anywhere but Alabama because it seems obvious he’s headed there.
