and the direct cause as to why we are now here

Technically Haskins from a timeline standpoint.

And in direct correlation to Haskins not filling up the talent reservoir once Gus left. Gus’s dudes just now graduating and he has been gone since the end of 2020. Haskins has had plenty of time to fill up but he didn’t. Freeze said there was only 7 scholly OL so what was Haskins doing?

In no direct way is Gus responsible for this. We fired him for 8-5, not for losing seasons and complete incompetence across the board. Gus’s contract isn’t even relevant anymore.

If we land Thompson and he starts he could easily throw for 2k yards.

Is there any other QB that has ever had 3 season with 3 different teams which they threw for 2k yards?

Well those 7 OL on scholly were mostly Gus and they weren’t all that good. He plays a part in it. Harsin was a big part no doubt, but Gus doesn’t get off Scott free. There was a reason he was fired and we were hurting at OL long before Harsin.

I like that the transfer QB is visiting at the same time as transfer WRs and we already have good OL/RBs. Also - they're in the same boat with new coaches coming in at their respective schools... recruits meet each other on visits generally...

What happened last week to officially kill the MCCall possibility?

That was in late 2020. It’s 2023.

If we are hurting at OL now that’s a Harsin problem.

Harsin didn’t recruit, he just rolled with Gus guys.

This is a Harsin issue

Its up to you to decide how much weight you put into it, but he posted on social media that he saw all the comments from different fans but he was staying at Coastal.

Never said it wasn’t a Harsin issue and in fact give him the lions share. But if the problem started with ith the prior guy and his guys are still
Here, he doesn’t get a complete pass. Sorry

Gus didn't recruit OL. Harsin didn't recruit anyone.

If it was just an OL issue from Gus, we would already be heading towards acceptable OL play with portal work Hugh has done, but it’s a lot more than that and 95% of that is on potato

The problem is instead of running off those guys, Harsin depended on them. Who did Harsin recruit to replace them? Gus tried and failed with Calvin Ashley and many that didn’t want to be here. Harsin? He didn’t even try. Harsin made 8-5 look like an upfrickinggrade.

Stay focused, guys. The Harsin/Gus talk has lasted for years.

Let’s focus on recruiting for this year and our future national championship runs.
