Nah it’s on par with them. I got chastised by the homers summer of 2022 when I said this football season was a foregone conclusion to be a failure and Harsin would be fired midseason.

I think it's just the fact of who cares? You either get the player or you don't. You aren't the only one who realized Bama was making a push, just the only one who brought it up every single day. Especially when your sources that you cite are always other teams message boards. In the end you're acting like it's less of an achievement or somehow sullied a bit because we had to fight to keep him. You either get the player or you don't, we got this one.
If you want to complain, complain about not getting a portal QB and still struggling on the OLine, not because we almost didn't get a 5 star WR from bama.

This is our best class in a decade for sure. Coming off a piss poor 3-4 years, it is certainly a bright spot and indicator for things to come.
Our ranking is right up there with Texas/FSU/Oklahoma/Michigan. 3/5/7/9 Ranking, at a certain point we got a class that has the talent to compete, so we have to develop the talent now.

Yeah, you don't have to be a fortune teller or have super secret access to the program to realize that Bama wasn't just going to give up on a 5 star WR from one if their stronghold recruiting grounds who had already been committed to them for nearly a year at one point. They weren't just going to say "Ahh, hell of a job Coach Freeze...". Of course they were gonna make a last ditch effort to get him back. And on the flip side, Auburn wasn't just gonna let Bama come in and offer him the moon and not talk to him. Not like his recruiters and Freeze were going to go radio silent and hope he stuck by his Auburn commitment with Bama putting the press on.
It's pretty much common sense at that point.

No when I ran it through the class calculator yesterday it would’ve kept us at 7.
I ran it just now just to check now we’re at 289.77 with Ryan which puts us 3rd. Not sure what changed.
#3-6 is a very tight window.

Same problem Chex had with the whole "RW was 100% until Bama came in with a big bag". Of course they did, they aren't just going to let Auburn take their best players without a fight.

I had two ban bets last year- one of tbem being we dont win 8 games. Sunshine has nothing to do with you moving the goalposts. You said you had sources connected to Bama's program confident in the PT flip. Thats not being realistic. That is pretending to have information and whining at us because we dont validate you.

Not true. I said a long time bama message board poster said bama would flip him.
I checked in with my AU source and he thought auburn but wouldn’t be shocked if he flipped.

For example with Perry T - Stidham says his sources think the guy is going bama. That's probably because in years past their 11th hour pitch always worked. Chex's guys say he's 100% Auburn - well that's probably true as well because we're going to do whatever it takes to keep him.
Turns out Bama made a huge last minute push which was confirmed by Freeze. It even seems like to some extent Perry might have been playing Bama, given the little troll job on signing day.
